    • Systems and methods for context-aware service subscription management are provided. In an embodiment a context-aware service subscription management system includes a policy decision module that makes a decision whether the requested service will be provided based on policy rules, subscription profiles and the context of the request for the service. The use of context to make the policy decision allows for services offerings to be adjusted dynamically to the context of a particular user's service request. The subscription management system further includes a policy rules module, subscription profile interface and a context analysis module. The policy rules module provides policy rules. The context analysis module determines the context of a service request. Based on context information, the policy decision module in effect temporarily overrides a subscription profile based on the context of a service access by the user. Methods of use for the context-aware service subscription management systems are also provided.

    • A radio spectrum management system is provided. In an embodiment, the radio spectrum management system includes a radio spectrum gateway, a radio spectrum management server and a radio spectrum policy decision server. The radio spectrum gateway is coupled to a radio access network that receives bandwidth requests from subscriber devices and provides bandwidth allocation decisions to the radio access network. The radio spectrum management server receives bandwidth requests from the radio spectrum gateway and provides bandwidth allocation decisions to the radio spectrum gateway based on radio resources and bandwidth policy decisions. The radio spectrum policy management server provides bandwidth policy decisions to the radio spectrum server. The bandwidth policy decisions are generated based on consideration of subscriber and/or application service provider characteristics. Methods for allocation of radio spectrum for a subscriber within a wireless network when the subscriber requests an application are also provided.

    • To fortify trust in a roaming environment, a token is introduced in transactions between an authoritative entity (e.g., a Home AAA in RADIUS) and a service providing entity (e.g., a NAS in RADIUS). A Token-Information is sent from the authoritative entity to the service providing entity during the initial authentication. Subsequent transactions include a token computed from the Token-Information. The service providing entity discards messages that it receives that do not contain the correct token. The Token-Information is transported in an encrypted fashion. The token provides secure transactions when messages between the authoritative entity and the service providing entity are routed through proxy servers.

    • Systems and methods subscriber profile management to facilitate seamless roaming of mobile devices from one network to another. A subscriber profile management system is provided that includes a time to live (“TTL”) generator that generates a TTL limit for a subscriber based on usage characteristics of the subscriber. The subscriber profile management system further includes an administration module that administers TTL limits, TTL limit database that store TTL limits, a subscriber profile database that stores subscriber profiles, a usage measurement database that stores usage measurements, and a TTL limit reference module that administers TTLs when a subscriber profile and TTL limit are transmitted. The invention further includes a series of methods that support seamless roaming capabilities of a subscriber throughout visited networks without the need to continually make proxy calls to re-authenticate a subscriber.
