    • An apparatus for providing preconditioned air to at least one aircraft parked on the ground wherein internal heat exchangers lower or raise the discharge air temperature. The apparatus uses a main housing unit having a vent for air intake, a primary refrigeration system using a primary intake coil to precool or preheat the air in a primary intake plenum serving two blower intakes and two separate and independent blowers. Each blower discharge is then directed to a separate secondary plenum. Each secondary plenum uses a secondary refrigeration system to remove heat resulting from the blower and may further use a tertiary refrigeration system located downstream of the secondary system to provide further cooling or heating to achieve the desired air temperature. Each secondary plenum has an outlet for connection to parked aircraft. The apparatus can provide independent temperature, air pressure and airflow to two or more aircraft or provide appropriate temperature, air pressure and airflow to one aircraft.

    • An apparatus is configured to receive an incoming air stream from within an enclosure and to exhaust an outgoing air stream into the enclosure, the incoming and outgoing air streams flowing in a flow direction. The apparatus comprises an evaporator, a compressor, a condenser, and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger has a heat extraction portion and a heat depositing portion, wherein the heat extraction portion is disposed in an air stream outside of the enclosure and wherein the heat depositing portion is disposed downstream of the evaporator with respect to the flow direction. A method includes receiving an incoming air stream from within an enclosure in a dryer apparatus, the apparatus including an evaporator, a compressor, and a condenser. A heat exchanger is operably connected to the dryer apparatus to transfer sensible heat from an air stream outside of the enclosure to a location downstream of the evaporator.

    • Disclosed herein is an apparatus, in the form of a package air conditioning unit (PAC) for conditioning air in a space. The space may comprise the interior space(s) of buildings such as hospitals, enclosed shopping malls, warehouses, factories, etc. The PAC comprises a first arrangement, in the form of a suction chamber for receiving an air stream from the space (e.g. return air) and discharging an air stream to the space (e.g. supply air). The PAC has a second arrangement, in the form of second chamber for receiving an air stream from outside the space (e.g. fresh air) and discharging an air stream to outside the space (e.g. exhaust air). The second chamber is configured to receive a portion of the return air via the suction chamber.

    • An air-conditioning control apparatus controls an air-conditioning unit used in a central air-conditioning system that conditions a plurality of rooms in a house by a single air-conditioning unit. In the apparatus, a microcomputer is configured to: start an output of an ON command signal when started; subsequently continues the output of the ON command signal when a detected temperature inside a room is lower than a predetermined determination temperature; and stop the output of the ON command signal when the detected temperature is equal to or higher than the predetermined determination temperature. A protective opening and closing unit is configured to: close a first power supply path between a voltage input terminal and an internal alternating-current power supply line when the ON command signal outputted from the microcomputer is supplied; and open the first power supply path when the supply of the ON command signal is stopped.
