摘要： In certain embodiments, a transcritical refrigeration system provides refrigeration by circulating refrigerant through the system. The system includes a gas cooler, a heat exchanger, a high pressure expansion valve, a flash tank, refrigeration cases, and compressors. The gas cooler cools the refrigerant to a first temperature. The heat exchanger cools the refrigerant flowing from the gas cooler to the high pressure expansion valve to a second temperature. The high pressure expansion valve is coupled to the flash tank, which is coupled to the refrigeration cases. The refrigeration cases are coupled to the compressors, which are coupled to the gas cooler. An expansion valve between the gas cooler and the heat exchanger may cool the refrigerant flowing to the heat exchanger. A high pressure vapor compressor between the heat exchanger and the gas cooler may compress the refrigerant flowing from the heat exchanger to the gas cooler.

摘要： A heat pump system includes a refrigerant circuit, at least one compressor, an evaporator, and a controller programmed to defrost the evaporator in a defrost mode, wherein in the defrost mode the controller is programmed to monitor the evaporator to detect frost creation thereon, and reduce the speed of the at least one compressor and/or reduce the number of some, but not all operating compressors of the at least one compressor, if frost creation is detected on the evaporator. In some embodiments, the controller is programmed to defrost the evaporator in a second defrost mode. In the second defrost mode the controller is programmed to monitor the evaporator to detect frost creation thereon, turn off the at least one compressor when frost is detected on the evaporator, and operate a fan to force ambient air over the evaporator to defrost the evaporator.

The deceleration section reduces a rotational speed of an electric motor by controlling an AC current which is output to the electric motor, when a two-stage compression mode, in which an intermediate-pressure refrigerant flows into the electric compressor from an intermediate-pressure port, is performed and an operation stop request to stop the electric compressor is made. The operation stop section stops the electric motor after the deceleration section reduces the rotational speed of the electric motor. The restart section restarts the electric compressor when the operation stop request is canceled after the operation stop section stops the electric compressor.

If the refrigerant leaving the gas cooler/condenser is not in the subcritical region, the controller is configured to add a pseudo-subcooling temperature value to the measured temperature of the refrigerant to calculate a summed temperature, calculate a supercritical pseudo-saturated pressure as a function of the summed temperature, and operate the pressure control valve to drive the pressure of the refrigerant leaving the gas cooler/condenser to the supercritical pseudo-saturated pressure corresponding to the summed temperature.

The moving compression pockets may receive working fluid from the first inlet at the radially outer position and provide working fluid to the outlet at the radially inner position. The second end plate may include a fluid cavity receiving working fluid from the second inlet and fluidly isolated from working fluid within the moving compression pockets.
