    • A device for removably attaching a TPMS sensor to a wheel is provided. The device has a structure having a first end section, a second end section and a base. The base separates the first end section from the second end section. A first connector is formed in the first end section and a second connector is formed in the second end section. The device may be selectively attached to a wheel. The device may selectively receive a sensor, the sensor being releasably connectable to the first connector and the second connector of the device. The device may be a cradle for connecting a sensor thereto. Also, a method of using a cradle in a first wheel for use with an automotive vehicle is provided.

    • An asphalt cutter that includes a hollow cylindrical body with a plurality of longitudinally aligned, curved teeth evenly spaced apart along the body's lower perimeter edge. The teeth are curved in a forward direction of the normal rotation of the body during use with a hardened carbide edge formed thereon. The teeth are slightly wider in cross-section than the side wall of the cylindrical body. During use, a circular gap is formed in the asphalt which enables a center plug formed therein to be easily removed by utility workers. Attached to the top end of the cylindrical body is a longitudinally aligned hollow neck with a top opening. During assembly, the drive shaft on a hydraulic motor attached to the articulating boom is inserted into the neck. A bolt connects the neck and drive shaft together. In the preferred embodiment, an optional elongated guide flag is longitudinally aligned with the cutter. During operation, the operator watches an arrow indicator printed on the side of the guide flag to maintain the drive shaft and cylindrical body in a vertically aligned position over the asphalt during the cutting process.

The system includes a sensor that is operative to sense at least a pressure condition within an enclosed space of the object based on an operating mode of the system. A control system controls the operating mode of the system based at least in part on whether movement of the object is detected. The movement of the object is detected based on a variation in the at least a pressure condition over time. The system can be implemented as part of a tire pressure monitoring system.

    • A reliable, low cost mounting assembly for a tire pressure transducer removably mounts the transducer on a multi-piece automobile wheel to enable the transducer to transmit tire pressure information that will enable the detection of an unsafe tire pressure. The mounting assembly includes a mounting bracket, a valve stem that passes through an air hole in the wheel and secures the mounting racket to the wheel while facilitating the adjustment of tire pressure, and a set of seals that seal both the valve stem and the mounting bracket relative to the air hole in the wheel. The mounting bracket has a generally flat base and a tab that extends radially outward from the base on one side at an oblique angle that assures proper positioning of the transducer within the wheel drop.

    • A portable tire pressure gauge measures a value of tire pressure. The gauge may display the measured value digitally and may output the measured value aurally. The tire pressure gauge may also aurally output a verbal message warning the operator if the measured value approaches a limit value, e.g., if the measured value is below a lower limit or above an upper limit. The limit values, or range of acceptable pressure values, may be set by the user and stored in the gauge. Further, a voice selection switch may be used to selectively turn on and off the voice output warning. Further still, in some examples, the voice warning may be provided in one of multiple foreign languages using the voice selection switch.
