摘要： The process consists of making react (i) an alkylene oxide polyether polyol, (ii) an organic compound which has an ethylenic unsaturation and a hydroxyl, carboxyl, anhydride, isocyanate or epoxy group and (iii) an alkylene oxide selected from ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and mixtures thereof, in the presence of an effective quantity of a potassium naphthenate catalyst. The unsaturated polyester polyols produced have a reduced degree of unsaturation and are useful in the synthesis of polymeric polyols with good viscosity, filterability and particle size properties, suitable for the production of cellular polyurethane compounds.

摘要： A radiation-curable powder composition for use as varnish or paint which comprises at least one crystalline polyester containing end methacrylyl groups comprising the reaction products of glycidyl methacrylate and of a crystalline polyester containing end carboxyl groups is described. The said crystalline polyester containing end carboxyl groups is either(a) a polyester which is the reaction product of(1) an acid constituent which contains (a.1.1) 85 to 100 mol % of terephthalic acid or of 1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid and (a.1.2) 0 to 15 mol % of at least one other aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic di- or polycarboxylic acid having from 4 to 14 carbon atoms, and(2) an alcohol constituent which contains (a.2.1) 85 to 100 mol % of a saturated, straight-chain, aliphatic diol having from 2 to 12 carbon atoms and (a.2.2) 0 to 15 mol % of at least one other aliphatic or cycloaliphatic di- or polyol having from 2 to 15 carbon atoms; or(b) a polyester which is the reaction product of(1) an acid constituent which contains (b.1.1) 85 to 100 mol % of a saturated, straight-chain, aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 4 to 14 carbon atoms and (b.1.2) 0 to 15 mol % of at least one other aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or aromatic di- or polycarboxylic acid having from 4 to 14 carbon atoms, and(2) an alcohol constituent which contains (b.2.1) 85 to 100 mol % of 1,4-cyclohexanediol, of 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol or of ethylene glycol and (b.2.2) 0 to 15 mol % of at least one other aliphatic or cycloaliphatic di- or polyol having from 2 to 15 carbon atoms.

摘要： Solvent-soluble polymeric esters and polymeric esterethers with radiation-crosslinkable ethylenic unsaturation in the linear polymeric structure, and recurring pendant hydroxyl groups, are derived from monomers which include diepoxides and monomers with at least one .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid group. These polymeric products react with cyclic anhydrides to form aqueous alkaline-soluble polymers which are useful as films for photomechanical processes, including lithographic applications and as photoresists.

摘要： Bitumen filled polyester foams are provided through a process which comprises forming a solution of a bitumen having a softening point of at least about 80.degree. C. and a cyclic diacid anhydride at a temperature above the softening point of a bitumen, the bitumen solution is then mixed with a monoterminal epoxide and a polyterminal epoxide in the presence of a blowing agent resulting in the initiation of an exothermic reaction. The process for producing bitumen filled polyester foams through the in situ polymerization of polyesters in a solution of bitumen and the foams produced by the process constitute the invention.

摘要： A hydroxy, amino, or mercapto terminated polydiene polymer is reacted with an organic acid anhydride to produce a carboxylic acid terminated polydiene. An organic chain extender and a peroxide free radical initiator is mixed with the polydiene, and upon reaction, an elastomeric material having the peroxide homogeneously dispersed therethrough substantially unreacted is formed. When the temperature is raised, the peroxide in the elastomer effects a cure to produce a hard thermoset resin.
