摘要： A hard plate such as blank paper board can be held under suction on a table, such as the table of a coordinate plotter, with air holes bored therethrough, by superposing a soft sheet, which includes an air-permeable portion at a desired location and an air-impermeable portion made of an air-impermeable elastic material and surrounding the periphery of the air-permeable portion, over the table in such a way that the air-permeable portion is communicated with the air holes; superposing the hard plate on the soft sheet in such a way that at least the air-permeable portion is covered by the hard plate; and sucking air through the air holes to hold the hard plate by vacuum. Use of the soft sheet permits easy, prompt and sure positioning of the hard plate even if a warp or distortion is contained in the hard plate.

摘要： A sliding surface for a drafting board allowing a draftsman to adjust a sheet of drawings on the drafting board by moving the drawing up and down without having to adjust or realign the drawing to maintain the square and straight lines thereof, the device consisting of a pair of oppositely wound rollers disposed in tandem spaced apart parallel relationship at the top and bottom edges of a drafting board and over which a flexible sheet of material is wound so as to overlie the top surface of the drafting board and provide a sliding surface thereon in that a sheet of drawings taped to the sliding surface will move therewith as it passes in an upward direction to roll onto the top roller and a downward direction to roll onto the bottom roller so that the top of the sheet of drawings may be brought to the bottom portion of the drafting table, and vice versa, thus allowing the draftsman to move the sheet of drawings up and down along the drafting board without having to readjust or realign the drawing sheet.

摘要： A folding poster board on which accounting forms are mounted, including a clamping means for clamping the forms to the board and a stripper plate for stripping forms from the board. A separate operating plate is provided for operating the stripper plate. The clamping member is mounted for rotation about a first axis, and the stripping plate and operating plate are mounted for rotation about a second axis parallel to and spaced from the first axis. Toggle spring means holds the clamping member resiliently in its open and closed positions. The operating plate for the stripper plate is resiliently biased away from the latter towards a relative position where further movement of the operating member will operate the stripper member. The board comprises first and second board members hinged together. When the second board member is folded over to cover the first board member, the clamping member, when moved to closed position, will engage the second board member and thereby prevent the poster board from inadvertently coming open.
