摘要： An apparatus for fastening one or multiple objects to a wall or other surface includes first and second frame members, movable relative to one another along an axis. First and second engagement members extend from the first and second frame members, respectively, the engagement members being usable to engage fastening regions of one or more objects to be secured, then subsequently to provide visible markings to the surface. One or more angular measurement devices engaged with one or both the frame members can be used to record the angular relationship between fastening regions, while the position of the frame members relative to one another can be used to record the linear distance between fastening regions. The markings provided to the mounting surface thereby have the same linear and angular relationship as the fastening regions due to the angular and linear position of the frame members.

The arm has a marking pin that projects generally perpendicular from a forward surface of the arm. The arm is coupled to the crossbar via the knuckle such that the arm is slidable along the pair of parallel sides of the projection in a second direction. The end cap is coupled to one of the two opposing ends of the crossbar. The end cap includes an “L” bracket that provides an engagement surface for engaging a corner of a second object previously hung on the wall.

The device allows the maker of the frame to install a hanging wire to the frame at a predefined position, for example, at a predefined distance from a top edge of the frame. A spring-loaded peg mounted on a flat slab, at a predefined distance from a wall member of the device, allows wiring the frame such that the apex of the wire is at the predefined distance from the top edge of the frame. The frame is placed in the device with the top edge of the frame adjacent to the wall member. The flat slab is configured to move vertically on a channel guide mounted on the wall member to accommodate varying thickness of the frame.

摘要： The hanger with decorative flange is a metal pushpin having a smooth shank ending in a sharp point at one end defining a pin and an integrally formed hook at the opposite end. An ornamentally shaped plastic or metal flange is medially disposed on the shank. The flange serves as a stop to prevent the shank from penetrating too far into a ceiling, wall, or other supporting surface. The flange may be disk-shaped, or may have other ornamental shapes, e.g., a heart, a butterfly, a star, etc., and may have decorative designs or indicia formed thereon. The hanger is installed by pushing the pin in a supporting surface so that lightweight objects may be supported by or suspended from the hook, and when the hanger is removed, the only damage from insertion into the supporting surface is a small pinhole.
