    • The present invention is directed to a support for positioning a door frame adjacent a masonry wall which is under construction. The support includes two substantially horizontal members which are mounted on wheels so as to be readily moved about a construction site. Further, the support includes two substantially vertical upright members which are connected at approximately the midpoint of the horizontal members and to which a door frame is releasably attached. The support of the present invention ensures the accurate positioning of a door frame as a masonry wall is constructed and the door frame attached thereto.

    • A jig for holding planar sheet material during installation. The device includes a channel section provided with captively held nail members for temporarily attaching the jig to a substructure, e.g. wall studs. The channel section further has a groove along an interior wall surface for receiving an interchangeable frictional holding strip. The intersection of a second interior wall and bottom surface forms an inclined wedging surface. An edge of the sheet material is placed within the channel and is grippingly engaged by the coaction of the frictional holding strip and the wedging surface. The sheet material is angularly supported resting against the substructure and can then be nailed in place.

    • A device for placing an outlet box in position for attachment to a side of a stud has a mount positionable against the outer face thereof and a vertical support along which the mount is adjustable to place it at the desired height. The mount includes a shoulder that is horizontal when the device is thus positioned and exposed at the side of the stud to enable a box to be held against that side and that shoulder to establish its vertical position. The mount includes a gauge adjustable lengthwise of the shoulder and the gauge has a shoulder that is perpendicular to the shoulder of the mount and engageable by a front edge portion of the held box to establish its required relation to the outer face of the stud.

    • In a method of erecting a suspended ceiling one end of an elongated support member is positioned with reference to a wall member that is secured at a predetermined height thereon. The support member is adjusted to a horizontal position, and appropriate ceiling grid members are supported between the planar upper surface thereon and a wall member secured to a second wall adjacent to the first.
