An audio signal for the audio-video recording session is generated using a beamforming process from the microphone array in accordance with a sound pickup directivity pattern. Ambient sound pressure level of the audio-video recording session is monitored while generating the audio signal. The sound pickup directivity pattern of the beamforming process is automatically adjusted during the audio-video recording session as a function of the monitored ambient sound pressure level. 摘要： An apparatus and method are provided for viewing panoramic images and videos through the selection of a particular viewing angle and window (zoom) within that panorama while allowing the viewer to simultaneously implement temporal transport control, allowing the video to be in a state of pause, play, fast forward, fast rewind, slow forward, slow rewind, or frame-by-frame. This capability may be used on video that is residing in memory on the viewer's viewing system, in a hard disk local to the viewer or in a shared location, or on a live buffered feed of video. A second capability of this apparatus and method relates to the use of a plurality of panoramic video or images from multiple synchronized cameras. In those cases, all panoramic video feeds are synchronized so that as a viewer pauses, rewinds, forwards a video in one panorama, all panoramas are time synchronized and go through the same states as the panorama being viewed. When the user selects a different panorama for viewing from a different camera, this panorama comes up in the same state as the panorama previously being viewed.

A system, such as the system of a digital video recorder, may receive a set of recordable events data, such as a listing of all television shows to be broadcast over a two-week period. The system analyzes the set of recordable events data for determining one or more sets of recordable events, where each set includes recordable events having the same title. The system analyzes each set of recordable events to determine sub-sets of recordable events based on relationships between the recordable events of each sub-set. The system displays an identifier for each sub-set of a given set of recordable events when the given set of recordable events is selected for display. A user may select to record a sub-set of recordable events by selecting the identifier that represents the sub-set.
