摘要： A reception apparatus obtains a first channel estimated value from a reference signal of each layer and a known reference signal that are received and multiplies the first channel estimated value by an orthogonal signal sequence in each layer. Subsequently, the reception apparatus synthesizes a signal in each layer and, from the orthogonal signal sequence and the synthesized signal, calculates an adaptive array antenna weight. Next, the reception apparatus carries out antenna synthesis of the data signal and the reference signal by using the above weight for each layer and obtains a second channel estimated value from the reference signal subjected to the synthesis. Then, the reception apparatus carries out MIMO demodulation from a result of the channel estimation for each layer described above.

A method for processing communication data at a user equipment in a wireless communication system may comprise: deriving a spatial correlation matrix R of multiple transmit antennas of a base station based on an obtained downlink channel transmission matrix H; transforming a precoding codebook F according to the spatial correlation matrix R; selecting a precoding matrix Fs based on the transformed precoding codebook; and feeding back information about the spatial correlation matrix R and information about the selected precoding matrix Fs to the base station. A method for data precoding at a base station in a wireless communication system may comprise: obtaining, from a user equipment, information about a spatial correlation matrix R of multiple transmit antennas of the base station and information about a precoding matrix Fs selected by the user equipment; determining a desired precoding matrix FR,s based on the obtained information and a precoding codebook; and precoding downlink data to be transmitted to the user equipment with the desired precoding matrix FR,s.

摘要： A MIMO system supports multiple spatial multiplexing modes for improved performance and greater flexibility. These modes may include (1) a single-user steered mode that transmits multiple data streams on orthogonal spatial channels to a single receiver, (2) a single-user non-steered mode that transmits multiple data streams from multiple antennas to a single receiver without spatial processing at a transmitter, (3) a multi-user steered mode that transmits multiple data streams simultaneously to multiple receivers with spatial processing at a transmitter, and (4) a multi-user non-steered mode that transmits multiple data streams from multiple antennas (co-located or non co-located) without spatial processing at the transmitter(s) to receiver(s) having multiple antennas. For each set of user terminal(s) selected for data transmission on the downlink and/or uplink, a spatial multiplexing mode is selected for the user terminal set from among the multiple spatial multiplexing modes supported by the system.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing compressed feedback channel state information for beamforming. A beam transmitted by a transmission source is received at a receiving device. The receiving device computes a channel state matrix H of the transmission channel based on the received beam. Using the channel state matrix H, the receiving device performs a singular value decomposition procedure that produces a steering matrix V. The singular value decomposition procedure generates a set of angles (θV, φ) from which the steering matrix V can be computed. The receiving device transmits the set of angles (θV, φ) to the transmitting device. From the set of angles (θV, φ), the transmitting device can compute the steering matrix V.
