摘要： Even harmonics are suppressed by a harmonics-reducing bias generator that drives bias voltages to cascode control transistors in series with driver transistors in a power amplifier. A first bias voltage is generated by mirroring pull-up currents in the power amplifier. A p-channel source transistor and a p-channel cascode current-mirror transistor also mirror the power amplifier pull-up current to a midpoint node. An n-channel sink transistor and an n-channel cascode current-mirror transistor mirror the pull-down current in the power amplifier to the midpoint node. An op amp compares the midpoint node to VDD/2, and drives the gate of a p-channel feedback transistor. Current from the p-channel feedback transistor flows through an n-channel cascode current-mirror transistor that generates a second bias voltage. The second bias voltage is adjusted until the midpoint node reaches VDD/2, causing the pull-up and pull-down currents in the power amplifier to better match, reducing even harmonics.

摘要： An apparatus and method are disclosed for providing output signal swings that are greater than the supply voltage in a class-D amplifier. The amplifier circuit boosts the voltage across the amplifier load, such as a loudspeaker, by using capacitors to “charge pump” the voltage across the load and thus increase the voltage temporarily. This is done by using two or more output bridges rather than one, and connecting the bridges through the capacitors. For signals of less than the supply voltage, only an inner bridge, similar to a full bridge of the prior art, operates. For signals above the supply voltage, an outer bridge charges capacitors, which are then used to ‘boost’ the voltage on the bridge output for the short period of the Class-D switching period. Thus, only relatively small value boosting capacitors are needed, as they do not need to supply charge for very long.

摘要： In a class-D amplifier, oscillation phenomenon is suppressed in a high RF range and surge voltage is reduced. An oscillation absorption circuit is connected on the power supply side of the class-D amplifier circuit, and the class-D amplifier circuit and thus connected oscillation absorption circuit equivalently configure an oscillation circuit. Resistance provided in the oscillation absorption circuit is assumed as damping resistance of the oscillation circuit, thereby suppressing the oscillation phenomenon and reducing the surge voltage. The oscillation absorption circuit is made up of the RL parallel circuit of resistance and inductance. The oscillation absorption circuit and the class-D amplifier circuit constitute the oscillation circuit, and the resistance of the oscillation absorption circuit constitutes the damping resistance of the oscillation circuit in the high RF range.

摘要： A system to improve the extraction of transistor and OLED parameters in an AMOLED display includes a pixel circuit having an organic light emitting device, a drive device to provide a programmable drive current to the light emitting device, a programming input to provide the programming signal, and a storage device to store the programming signal. A charge-pump amplifier has a current input and a voltage output. The charge-pump amplifier includes an operational amplifier in negative feedback configuration. The feedback is provided by a capacitor connected between the output and the inverting input of the operational amplifier. A common-mode voltage source drives the non-inverting input of the operational amplifier. An electronic switch is coupled across the capacitor to reset the capacitor. A switch module including the input is coupled to the output of the pixel circuit and an output is coupled to the input of the charge-pump amplifier.

The noise critical timing/integrating capacitor for the triangle ramp generator resides locally in each channel and adjacent to the PWM comparator of that channel and referenced to the local ground of that channel. The amplifier can also include a duty cycle limitation circuit to limit output power availability depending on the impedance of any attached loads (speakers).

When the system is powered on, an auxiliary power amplifier and an auxiliary feedback circuit constitute an auxiliary close loop so that a control loop is established in advance. The auxiliary close loop is disconnected after various circuit modules reach their steady operation points, and the system operates at a normal state. A soft start circuit is provided for suppressing noise which occurs when the system is powered on. Thus, the class-D audio amplifier suppresses POP noise at an output terminal when the system is powered on.

In one embodiment, a driver circuit for a power stage of a class-D amplifier includes serially connected transistor devices connected to a gate terminal of a power transistor of the power stage of the class-D amplifier, a voltage generator connected between a gate terminal of a first transistor device of the serially connected transistor devices and a source terminal of the power transistor, and a current multiplier connected between the gate terminal of the power transistor and one of a source terminal and a drain terminal of the first transistor device. The current multiplier is configured to produce an output current that is proportional to a current at the one of the source terminal and the drain terminal of the first transistor device.

The signal amplifying circuit controls current volume of the current source and capacity value of the equivalent capacitance to accordingly adjust an interior frequency bandwidth of the signal amplifying circuit, and the interior frequency bandwidth is smaller than the chopping frequency and greater than an input signal of the input stage.
