    • A connector includes terminals having engagement parts. The connector includes a connector housing having chambers configured to insert and receive the terminals from the rears of the chambers. The connector includes projecting flexible locking arms including locking parts configured to lock with the engagement parts of the terminals. A single flexible arm is positioned to each of the chambers. The flexible locking arm has a front end supported on a front wall of the connector housing. The flexible locking arm has a rear end supported on a peripheral wall of the connector housing. The flexible locking arm includes a flexible part between the front and rear ends. The flexible part includes a locking part. The flexible part is flexibly deformable relative to an engagement part of a terminal. The locking part is lockable with the engagement part of the terminal received in a chamber.

    • Disclosed herein is an electric connector which is used for transmitting electromagnetic signals. The electric connector of the present invention includes a main body which has upper and lower guide bodies extending predetermined lengths, with an insertion slot formed in a first surface of the main body. The electric connector further includes a conductive cover which surrounds an outer surface of the main body. An edge of a part of the conductive cover, which faces the contact part of the main terminal contact and is placed at a position adjacent to the first surface of the main body, is bent into the insertion slot. The present invention has a structure to meet standard requirements and prevents an undesired part from contacting a plug connector, thus reducing the incidence of malfunction.

    • A plug comprises a plug housing having a body and a plurality of beams extending therefrom and forming gaps therebetween. A member bridges the gaps between the beams at their distal ends. Ground contacts comprising a body, an elongated contact portion, and armatures are inserted into the plug housing. A recess formed in the distal end of the elongated contact portion engages the member. The ground contacts have projections extending therefrom that are disposed in channels formed through the body and along the beams. Signal contacts having a portion with a first form factor and a portion with a second form factor are also inserted into the plug housing. The portion with a first form factor extends through a conduit in the plug housing body and along a trough formed in the beams. The distal ends of the signal contacts have recesses formed in their distal ends with projections from the beams situated therein. The portion of the signal contact with a second form factor abuts the housing body.

    • Header pins having improved positional stability and increased terminal retention are disclosed. The header pins have retention features spaced longitudinally apart and rotated around an axis. In one embodiment, two pairs of swaged retention features are created, spaced longitudinally apart, and the planes defining the retention features are displaced approximately ninety degrees (90°) apart. The pairs of retention features are disposed relatively near a central section of the header pin and at a distance from one another that is relatively less than the overall length of the header pin. A notch disposed in the body of the header pin is longitudinally spaced from the two pairs of retention features. Methods of making a header pin and improved methods of assembling a header block are also disclosed.
