摘要： A handheld-sized, single-hand-holdable, single-hand-operable battery-powered gas leak detector that draws in a sample of ambient air for detecting the presence of a gas by sensing changes in infrared (IR) energy between an IR emitter and an IR sensor when the gas is in the space between the IR emitter and the IR sensor. An algorithm is used that triggers detection of a gas when the change in IR energy between the IR emitter and the IR sensor is more rapid than the thermal drift of the IR sensor, and the detector design allows for IR energy within a wide range of approximately 0.4 micrometers to approximately 20 micrometers to pass into the air being sampled.

The survey area adjoins the path and extends in a substantially upwind direction from the path. The survey area has a boundary determined such that if the potential gas leak source is located in the survey area and has a rate of leakage meeting a minimum leak rate condition, then an estimated probability of detection of a gas leak from the potential source at one or more measurement points along the path satisfies a probability condition.

The first resultant image includes a plurality of resultant pixels, each pixel having an associated intensity value. One or more regions of interest are determined. The correlation between the first image, the second image, and the first resultant image is determined for the one or more regions of interest using a correlation coefficient algorithm to calculate a first correlation coefficient and a second correlation coefficient. The presence of the chemical species is determined based, at least in part, on the first correlation coefficient and the second correlation coefficient.

摘要： Non-invasive monitoring of blood constituents such as glucose, ketones, or hemoglobin A1c may be accomplished using near-infrared or short-wave infrared (SWIR) light sources through absorbance, diffuse reflection, or transmission spectroscopy. As an example, hydro-carbon related substances such as glucose or ketones have distinct spectral features in the SWIR between approximately 1500 and 2500 nm. An SWIR super-continuum laser based on laser diodes and fiber optics may be used as the light source for the non-invasive monitoring. Light may be transmitted or reflected through a tooth, since an intact tooth and its enamel and dentine may be nearly transparent in the SWIR. Blood constituents or analytes within the capillaries in the dental pulp may be detected. The non-invasive monitoring device may communicate with a device such as a smart phone or tablet, which may transmit a signal related to the measurement to the cloud with cloud-based value-added services.

A gaseous fuel monitoring system can include an optical interrogator connected to the optical line, which interrogator detects changes in light transmitted by the optical line due to changes in vibrations of the enclosure.

摘要： A pipe inspection device includes a housing (1) fixed to a semi-rigid rod (2) and having a longitudinal axis (3) and inside the housing a camera (4) having a forward-looking field of view and a camera (5) rotatable around said longitudinal axis (3) and having a field of view directed to permit closer inspection of an inner surface of the pipe, and means (17-24) for rotating the rotatable camera (5) to direct its field of view against an area of the inner surface of the pipe to be inspected more closely. To make it possible to inspect the inner surface of a pipe faster than with prior art devices, the inspection device has at least two cameras (5-7) in addition to the camera (4) having a forward-looking field. Said at least two cameras (5-7) are rotatable as an assembly around the longitudinal axis and have a field of view directed to permit closer inspection of an inner surface of the pipe. Further, the housing (1) has a fixed rear part (10) and a front part (11) that is carried by the rear part (10) and rotatable around said longitudinal axis (3), all of the cameras (4-7) being fixed in the rotatable front part (11) of the housing (1).
