    • The present disclosure provides a fluid flow sensor and low flow cut-off device and an associated method for its operation that is easily integrated into a fluid delivery and/or fluid control system for a variety of appliances, such as boilers and water heaters. The fluid flow sensor and low flow cut-off device can determine a fluid flow rate in or to an appliance and whether that fluid flow rate meets or exceeds a predetermined fluid flow rate threshold for the safe and/or efficient operation of the appliance and, if the threshold is not met, disable the appliance from operating or continuing to operate under such conditions.

    • A hydronic system controls the air temperature in a plurality of zones. The system has a plurality of heat exchangers, each one being associated with a respective zone. The mass flow rate of a working fluid through each heat exchanger is controlled to maintain the working fluid temperature drop across the heat exchanger a constant, chosen for efficient operation of the boiler or chiller which transfers heat to or from the working fluid. The flow of air in each zone through each heat exchanger is controlled by the air temperature in the zone. A respective valve associated with each heat exchanger is used to control the mass flow rate of the working fluid through the heat exchanger, and also imposes an upper limit of the mass flow rate established by balancing the hydronic system. The upper limit is controlled by a parameter proportional to mass flow rate.

    • The present invention relates to a hot water supply system that heats low-temperature water flowing into an inlet at a high temperature by using a heating device and supplies the high-temperature water through an outlet. The hot water supply system according to the present invention includes a heat exchanger that transmits heat of the heating device to the inflow water so as to supply the inflow water at a user set temperature; a flow sensor that measures a flow rate of the water flowing into the hot water supply system; a water tank that stores water discharged from the heat exchanger, a temperature sensor that is installed at a predetermined position on a pipe through which the water flows; and a controller that has an input unit to allow a user to input desired conditions, wherein the controller controls the operation of the heating device by comparing the user set temperature with a temperature measured by the temperature sensor and controls the operation of the heating device depending on variation in the flow rate measured by the flow sensor.
