摘要： A pipe insulation product including a core of insulating material and a laminate. The core includes a cylindrical outer surface; a cylindrical inner surface; and a wall extending between the cylindrical outer surface and the cylindrical inner surface. The laminate includes a metallized polymeric film sheet layer forming an inner layer, a scrim, a porous media sheet layer, and a polymeric film sheet layer forming an outer exposed layer bonded together via an adhesive. The laminate is coextensive with and bonded to the cylindrical outer surface of the core and the laminate and core are flexible so that the core and laminate can be opened, placed about a pipe, and closed without degrading the laminate.

A circumferential retaining band is disposed about the metal jacket and has a longitudinal length substantially less than a corresponding length of the metal jacket. The circumferential retaining band has a coupler joining a first end of the circumferential retaining band to an opposing second end of the circumferential retaining band and a clip spaced from the coupler along a radially inner surface of the retaining band. The clip is adapted to secure the opposing free ends of the metal jacket.

摘要： An apparatus for covering a pipe component comprises a base layer having first and second edges sized and shaped to extend around a pipe such that the first and second edges are proximate to each other and a polymer layer applied over the base layer. The apparatus further comprises a first fastener applied to the first edge between the base layer and the polymer layer and a second fastener applied to the second edge between the first base layer and the polymer layer adapted to engage the first fastener. The apparatus may be formed by wrapping the sheet about a mold connecting the first and second fasteners together with a wire therebetween, applying the first fastener and second fasteners to the first and second edges, applying a layer of polymer over the first and second fasteners and removing the wire from between the first and second fasteners.
