摘要： A conventional Bi-containing sliding material sometimes underwent seizing in a sliding part operating at a high rotational speed. The present invention provides a sliding material which does not undergo seizing in a sliding part operating at a high rotational speed and a method for its manufacture. A low melting point alloy containing at least 20 mass % of Bi and having a liquidus temperature of at most 200° C. is made to penetrate into a porous portion comprising a Cu—Sn based alloy. A Bi—Sn based alloy or a Bi—In based alloy is suitable as the low melting point alloy. After a low melting point alloy paste is applied to a porous portion, the low melting point alloy is melted and made to penetrate into the porous portion.

摘要： The light articulation ball-joint comprises a metal inner ring and a metal outer ring, provided respectively with a spherical outer surface and a spherical inner surface. The ball-joint also comprises a first contact layer, applied to the spherical surface of one of the rings, and a second contact layer, applied to the spherical surface of the other ring. According to the invention, the first contact layer has a hardness which is less than the hardness of the second contact layer and a thickness which is greater than the thickness of the second contact layer, the first contact layer further being adapted to release particles of solid lubricant by friction with the second contact layer.

A bearing which is the sliding part is formed by filling the raw powder into the filling portion of the forming mold, compacting the raw powder to form a powder compact, and sintering the powder compact. A copper-based raw powder is composed of a copper-based flat raw powder having an average diameter smaller than that of an iron-based raw powder and an aspect ratio larger than that of the iron-based raw powder, and a copper-based small-sized raw powder having the average diameter is smaller than that of the copper-based flat raw powder. The copper segregates at the surface of the sliding part. In the bearing in which the copper-based flat powder segregates at the surface, the surface is covered with the copper-based small-sized raw powder that has emerged on the surface, as well as the copper-based flat raw powder, thereby it is possible to increase the surface coverage ratio of copper. Furthermore, containing calcium fluoride improves the seizure resistance.

The oil-impregnated sintered bearing 1 includes a bearing body 2 which is made of a porous sintered alloy containing vacancies 8 and has a bearing hole 3 in which a rotary shaft can be inserted, wherein the vacancies 8 opened on an outer peripheral surface 7 of the bearing body 2 are crushed. The vacancies 8 may be crushed in the state of a green compact P, or in the state of a sintered alloy after sintering the green compact P. Consequently, the oil leakage from the outer peripheral surface 7 of the bearing 1 can be prevented, and oil pressure in the bearing hole 3 can be preserved.

摘要： A bearing having improved wear resistance has a bearing material of a copper-tin-bismuth alloy which may also include phosphorus which has excellent strength, due to the solid solution of copper, tin and phosphorus (when used), attached to a steel backing shell. The material also has good lubricity as a result of the presence of the bismuth which also promotes tin mobilization and formation of a layer of tin on the bearing surface upon use of the bearing. The addition of small amounts of relatively small hard particles in the copper-tin-matrix, particularly Fe3P, MoSi2 or a mixture thereof, provides a suitable hard surface artifact to improve the wear resistance of the bearing material. The bearing includes a sintered powder compact bearing material of a copper-tin-bismuth alloy powder and a metal compound powder which is bonded to a steel backing shell, wherein the metal compound powder has an average particle size of less than 10 μm.
