摘要： A hydraulic pump comprises a pair of chambers and a plunger which extends axially through both chambers and provides a valvecontrolled fluid flow path between the two chambers such that fluid is transferred from one chamber, acting as a reservoir, to the other chamber in response to reciprocation of the plunger. The plunger is displaceable by means of a lever system which is effective to vary the rate of displacement of the plunger so that plunger travel for a given lever movement is greater initially than towards the end of the plunger stroke. The lever system is arranged so that it imparts only substantially axial forces to the plunger during reciprocation thereof.

摘要： A double acting hydraulic pump and air motor therefor including means for controlling the inlet and exhaust of air to and from the opposite sides of the piston in the air cylinder. The pump has a stepped diameter housing including an upper pump cylinder defining an outlet chamber for liquid and a lower pump cylinder received within the upper pump cylinder and defining an inlet chamber for liquid. A pump piston reciprocates in the two cylinders and is slidably received in two axially spaced stationary packing sleeves having a resilient spacer sleeve interposed axially therebetween. The spacer sleeve is formed of metal sheet adapted to deflect resiliently under load. The upper end of the upper pump cylinder is received within a recess in the lower end of the air motor housing. A retainer plate connected to the lower end of the air motor housing is provided with an opening to allow passage of the upper end of the upper pump cylinder and a pair of radially extending ears thereon. The pump housing is rotatable about its own longitudinal axis to align or misalign the ears and the opening and retain the pump housing to or release it from the motor housing.

[Also in Divisions F1 and F2] In apparatus for mixing two fluids in constant proportions, e.g. cold water and steam, to form hot water, cold water is admitted at 12 to a high pressure chamber 10 and passes through a restrictive by-pass 18 to a lowpressure and mixing chamber 13. A pressure responsive element such as a bellows 35 separates the two chambers and operates a valve member 31 to admit steam from the inlet 27 to the chamber 13, hot water passing out at 46. An additional fluid (e.g. detergent) may be dosed into the hot water through passage 62 by a pumping device comprising a piston 47 attached to the bellows, a dose being injected every time closure of the outlet control valve, e.g. a spray lance, causes equalization of pressure across the bellows. The stroke of the pump at the size of the by-pass restriction are both adjustable; the latter may be done by a thermostatic capsule. The valve member 31 and its seat 63 may be replaced by others of different sizes. In a modification, (see Figs. 3-6, not shown) the pressure-responsive element is a spring-loaded piston and the pumping device comprises a cylinder attached to the piston and cooperating with a fixed plunger.
