    • A rotary internal combustion engine having a single toroidal cylinder and a set of orbital pistons attached to a rotating head or toroidal cylinder cover. The toroidal cylinder is divided into two chambers by two rotating disk valves perpendicular to the toroidal cylinder. Each rotating disk valve has a piston slot or opening that allows the orbital pistons to pass through the rotating disk valves while maintaining sealed chambers within the toroidal cylinder. The rotating disk valve that seals the compression chamber has a void within it that forms a pre-combustion chamber, which receives the compressed fuel-air mixture and releases it on the opposite side of the disk valve into the combustion chamber. The two orbital pistons and rotating disk valves allow the four cycles of the toroidal internal combustion engine to occur simultaneously within the toroidal cylinder.

    • The rotary engine includes a circular stator, a circular rotor rotating about the stator; the rotor and the stator being separated by a circular cylinder and at least one element with two flanges. The rotor includes two compression pistons attached to the inner surface of the rotor. These two pistons are located at the two extremities of a first diameter of the rotor and kept substantially in contact with the outer surface of the stator. The stator includes a recess at each extremity of a diameter. Each recess forms a compression chamber with the compression piston positioned at the end of the recess in the direction of rotation of the rotor and one of the flanges of the element with two flanges, referred to as the cylinder head flange. The motive force is applied to the compression piston when the pressure of the gases inside the compression chamber is suddenly increased to a predefined value.

    • A rotary machine which can be either a pump or an internal combustion engine has a housing enclosing a plurality of rotor spindles lying on the surface of an imaginary cone for driving an output shaft positioned at the vertex of the imaginary cone. The spindles have a beveled gear on one end and engaging an output shaft and a conical bearing on the other end. Angled eccentric rotors are mounted to each spindle shaped to maintain tangential sliding contact with two adjacent rotors to form a compression or combustion chamber. A spherical version of a compressor or an engine uses a plurality of rotary pistons each of which is eccentrically mounted and forms a spherical segment. Each rotary piston is mounted for tangential sliding contact with at least two other rotary pistons to form a displacement chamber therebetween. The rotary pistons use a generally “tear drop” shape. A rotary pump has a housing having a manifold for distributing intake and exhaust air. The pump has a plurality of lobe shafts, each having an eccentrically mounted rotor attached thereto mounted in the housing to form a compression chamber in the middle of the rotor when the rotors are all in contact with each other during rotation.

    • This invention refers to a hydraulic or pneumatic machine with tilting blades, running either as an engine on a fluid flow or on pressure fluid or as a pump or a compressor. The hydraulic or pneumatic machine on a fluid flow according to the invention consists of a cylindrical casing with inlet and outlet openings, radially arranged, diametrically oposed, along the fluid flowing direction, some disk like rotors with tilting blades, hinged over their front faces and provided with driving mechanisms of their own, and some fixed drums located between the rotors, concentrically to them, making inside the machine some channels, symetrically arranged on one or several stages. Flowing through the channels, the fluid drives the tilting blades causing the movement of the rotors, all the rotors moving to one sense being coupled to the same outlet shaft of the machine. The tilting blades of the hydraulic or pneumatic machine operating according to the invention with pressure fluid, run in variable depth grooves located in the rings between the front faces of the rotors and connected to the fluid circuit, the operation conditions of the machine—motor or pump—being determined by the moving sense of the blade in the groove.

    • The fluid displacement pump enables substantially continuous pumping from a low-pressure side to a high-pressure side substantially without any backflow or backpressure pulsations. Liquid or gas is injected to the high-pressure side by way of mutually intertwined worm spindles that form a fluidtight displacement system. The blades of the impeller system are slightly curved from the inside out, i.e., from their axles to their periphery, so as to ensure a tight seal between adjacent blades. The orientation of the blades is almost flat, i.e., their attack angle relative to backpressure is close to perpendicular so that they will turn quite freely in the forward direction, but will not be turned backwards by a pressurized backflow. The impeller rotation that is introduced via the spindle shafts nevertheless leads to a volume displacement towards the high-pressure side, for instance, towards a chamber to be pressurized or to be subjected to equal pressure.
