摘要： The disclosed adhesive compositions comprise (A) an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer that is the reaction product of a polyisocyanate and an isocyanate-reactive mixture comprising a phosphate ester polyol. The disclosed adhesive compositions further comprise (B) an isocyanate-reactive component polyol component comprising a polyol. In some embodiments, methods for preparing two-component adhesives formulations are disclosed comprising preparing an isocyanate component comprising an isocyanate-terminated prepolymer by reacting a polyisocyanate with an isocyanate-reactive mixture comprising a phosphate ester polyol and preparing an isocyanate-reactive component comprising a polyol. The methods further comprise mixing the isocyanate component and the isocyanate-reactive component at a stoichiometric ratio (NCO/OH) of from about 1.0 to about 5.0. Methods for forming laminate structures, and the laminate structures themselves, are also disclosed.

摘要： A process for producing a polyurethane resin of the present invention includes a step (i) of obtaining a prepolymer by adding an alcohol (B) to isocyanate (A) such that a ratio of hydroxyl groups to isocyanato groups of the isocyanate (A) falls into a range of 10 mol % to 20 mol % and reacting the isocyanate (A) with the alcohol (B) in the presence of an acidic phosphoric acid ester (C) and a hindered amine-based compound (D), a step (ii) of obtaining a polymerizable composition in a manner in which the alcohol (B) is further added to and mixed with the prepolymer at a temperature of equal to or less than 30° C., and a step (iii) of polymerizing the prepolymer and the alcohol (B) contained in the polymerizable composition. The isocyanate (A) contains an aromatic isocyanate and the alcohol (B) has two or more hydroxyl groups and is further defined.

摘要： The present invention provides a method for coating bare, untreated metal substrates wherein a coating composition comprising one or more particularly defined additives is applied directly to a bare metal substrate which has not been chemically and/or mechanically altered. The invention provides a method of coating a bare untreated metal substrate. The method requires the steps of (i) providing a bare, untreated metal substrate, the substrate being free of mechanical and/or chemical alterations, (ii) applying a two-component urethane coating composition directly to the bare, untreated metal substrate so as to make a coated metal substrate, and (iii) sanding at least a portion of the coated metal substrate within one hour from the time the two-component urethane coating composition was applied to the bare, untreated metal substrate. The resulting coated metal substrate has an initial adhesion loss of less than 20% as measured by a cross hatch adhesion test per ASTM D-3359 93. The invention further provides a method of refinishing a previously coated substrate by a first step of removing substantially all of the previously applied and cured coating film so as to make a bare metal substrate substantially free of mechanical and/or chemical alterations.
