摘要： The present invention provides a process for producing a fuel and a byproduct from biomass or biomass derived material. The invention comprises providing a processed biomass feedstock and carrying out or causing one or more parties to subject the processed biomass feedstock to gasification to produce carbon monoxide and hydrogen and cresylic acid and recovering the cresylic acid or a portion thereof. The processed biomass feedstock may be co-gasified with coal. The hydrogen from the gasification may be recovered or the carbon monoxide and hydrogen may be further reacted to produce a fuel or fuel intermediate. One or more products obtained from the process are provided, for use as, or to produce a transportation or heating fuel. The invention may allow for advantaged fuel credit generation.

摘要： Techniques, systems and material are disclosed for thermochemical regeneration of biomass into renewable engineered fuel, storage of the renewable engineered fuel, respeciation of the renewable engineered fuel and transport. In one aspect, a method includes generating low density hydrogen fuel from biomass dissociation at a first location of a low elevation. The low density hydrogen fuel is self-transported in a pipeline to a second location at a higher elevation than the first location by traveling from the first location to the second location without adding energy of pressure. A high density hydrogen carrier is generated at the second location of higher elevation by reacting the low density hydrogen fuel with at least one of a carbon donor, a nitrogen donor and an oxygen donor harvested from industrial waste. The high density hydrogen carrier is delivered to a third location of a lower elevation than the second location while providing pressure or kinetic energy.

摘要： The invention relates to a process for producing a methane-containing gas from synthesis gas, wherein a synthesis gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen is fed for methanation to a reactor system (1) having a catalyst material, wherein the process gas stream leaving the reactor system (1) is divided into a product gas stream and a recycle gas stream, and wherein the recycle gas stream, for compensation of the pressure drop, is transported through an ejector (5) and for cooling is passed together with the synthesis gas into the reactor system (1). According to the invention, the product gas stream is compressed to a pressure which is greater than the pressure of the synthesis gas that is fed to the reactor system (1). Either compressed product gas or industrial gas from an industrial gas pipe system (9) is fed as propellant medium to the ejector (5). The invention also relates to a methane production plant for carrying out the process.

In some embodiments, the methods include the following: thermochemically decomposing a gaseous hydrocarbon stream in an oxygen-free environment to develop carbon and hydrogen; partially oxidizing the carbon in a hydrogen-free environment to develop carbon monoxide; mixing amounts of the carbon monoxide and the hydrogen to generate a synthesis gas; and processing the synthesis gas to generate a synthetic fuel. Some embodiments include methods for converting gaseous hydrocarbons to feedstock for producing synthesis gas including the following: partially oxidizing carbon present in a hydrogen-free part of a reactor to develop carbon monoxide, wherein oxidizing heats the reactor and the oxidizing occurs until all of the carbon is oxidized; and thermochemically decomposing a gaseous hydrocarbon stream in an oxygen-free part of the reactor to develop carbon and hydrogen, wherein the decomposing occurs until a first amount of carbon is developed.
