摘要： One method as described herein relates to making a membrane comprising an uncrosslinked high molecular weight polyimide polymer with a small amount of bulky diamine. Also as described herein is a hollow fiber polymer membrane comprising an uncrosslinked high molecular weight polyimide polymer with a small amount of bulky diamine. The polyimide polymers include monomers comprising dianhydride monomers, diamino monomers without carboxylic acid functional groups, and optionally diamino monomers with carboxylic acid functional groups, wherein 2 to 10 mole % of the diamino monomers are bulky diamino compounds and the ratio of diamino monomers with carboxylic acid functional groups to diamino monomers without carboxylic acid functional groups is 0 to 2:3. These uncrosslinked high molecular weight polyimide polymers with a small amount of bulky diamine are useful in forming polymer membranes with high permeance and good selectivity that are useful for the separation of fluid mixtures.

摘要： A spinning device is disclosed. The spinning device includes a tube body, a sleeve component, a jacket tube and a lid. The tube body has a first through orifice in a vertical direction, the sleeve component has a second through orifice for the tube body to be mounted therein to form a fluid passage in between; the jacket tube has a third through orifice for the sleeve component and the tube body to be mounted therein. A first opening and second opening are formed on the wall of the jacket tube, allowing the second opening to be coupled with the fluid passage. The lid is coupled to one end of the jacket tube, and has a fourth through orifice, allowing the tube body to rotate with respect to the sleeve tube, jacket tube and the lid, thereby making a the hollow fiber having a spiral passage.

The hollow fiber contains a tubular matrix having a first end and a second end, and a winding channel formed through the tubular matrix and extending between the first end and the second end. The tubular matrix is porous and has a surface-area-to-volume ratio of 10 to 20000 m2/m3, a thickness of 0.05 to 9.95 mm, an outside diameter of 0.1 to 10 mm, and a length 10 to 90% that of the winding channel. Also disclosed is a method of preparing this hollow fiber.

摘要： A filtering membrane has a supporting structure comprising filaments and is coated with a dope to produce a polymeric membrane layer. Some or all of the filaments comprise a second polymer that is soluble or swellable in a solvent of the dope. The supporting structure may be braided with yarns. One or more yarns may comprise filaments comprising the second polymer. In one example, a braided tubular support is coated with a dope based on PVDF in NMP. Some or all of the yarns of the braid are made of bi-component core-sheath PET-PVDF filaments. With as few as 4% of the yarns in the braid made of the bicomponent filaments, peel strength and pull force of the membrane is improved relative to a braid made entirely of PET yarns. In experimental examples, unpeelable composite membranes were produced. The membrane may be used, for example, for water or wastewater filtration applications.
