    • An organopolysiloxane-modified polysaccharide prepared by esterification reacting (A) an organopolysiloxane having residual carboxylic anhydride groups and (B) a polysaccharide having hydroxyl groups, wherein the organopolysiloxane is bonded to the polysaccharide through half ester groups, and a process for the preparation of organopolysiloxane-modified polysaccharide, in which component (A) and component (B) are subjected to an esterification reaction in the presence of (C) a non-protonic polar solvent. The organopolysiloxane-modified polysaccharide comprising polysaccharide and organopolysiloxane bonded thereto through half ester groups is novel. The process for the preparation of organopolysiloxane-modified polysaccharide permits introduction of organopolysiloxane into polysaccharide at a high introduction ratio.

    • There is disclosed a polymer composition which can cure rapidly to provide a release coating that has a low surface tension, said composition comprising:(A) a fluorine-containing polymer that contains at least 2 alkenyl groups in each molecule, said polymer being obtained by the copolymerization of(a) an acrylic monomer having the general formulaCH.sub.2 .dbd.CX--COOR' wherein X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and a methyl radical and R' denotes a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 4 to 15 carbon atoms which contain at least one --CF.sub.2 -- group, and(b) a silicone macromonomer with the general formulaCH.sub.2 .dbd.CX--COO--Q--(RMeSiO).sub.n --Me.sub.2 SiR"wherein X has its previously defined meaning, Q denotes a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, R is selected from the group consisting of methyl radical and fluorine-containing monovalent hydrocarbon group having 3 to 8 carbon atoms, Me represents a methyl radical, R" denotes a alkenyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and n is an integer having a value of at least 1;(B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane that contains at least 3 silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in each molecule;(C) a hydrosilylation catalyst; and(D) a hydrosilylation catalyst inhibitor.

    • The present invention is a silylating method employing of formula(CH.sub.3)(R)(R.sup.1)SiX ;where R is an isopropyl group, R.sup.1 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, and X is a chlorine atom or bromine atom. The silylating agent of the present invention provide silylation product which is much more stable than the silylation product obtained with trimethylchlorosilane, and its protective group is as stable as the silylation product obtained from t-butyldimethylchlorosilane. Moreover, the present described silylating agents are characterized by an easier desilylation than the t-butyldimethylsilyl group.
