    • A method of displaying a halftone image on a PDP display unit by using a frame division technique, the method comprising selecting display lines whose number is identical to the total number of said divided subfields, addressing for designating pixels of selected display lines to be displayed and displaying each subfield allocated for the said selected display lines; shifting by a predetermined number of display lines from said selected display lines for at least a sustain pulse period unit, selecting display lines, addressing for designating pixels to be displayed and displaying each subfield allocated for the said display lines; and repeating said shifting, said selecting, said addressing and said displaying steps until each of the subfields is completely displayed for all display lines; wherein display lines for which all subfields of one frame have been completely displayed for an idle period. According to the present invention, there is provided a driving method capable of preventing images in two frames from being viewed overlapped to a viewer when displaying a dynamic image by clarifying a boundary between adjacent frames in a multi-scan driving method within a sustaining pulse period.

    • Structures and methods that simplify the assembly of connector inserts. One example may provide a connector insert having a termination block that is arranged to receive an end of a cable. The termination block may provide a first number of conductors in a first row and a second number of conductors in a second row. The termination block may be stepped such that the first number of conductors emerge from the termination block at a different position along their lengths than the second number of conductors. The first number of conductors may then attach to a first side of a printed circuit board or other connector portion, while the second number of conductors may then attach to a second side of the printed circuit board or other connector portion.

    • Spring-loaded contacts having an improved reliability. One example may provide spring-loaded contacts having a reduced likelihood of entanglement between a spring and a plunger. For example, a piston may be placed between a plunger and a spring. The piston may have a head portion that is wider than the diameter of the spring and located between the spring and the plunger to isolate the spring and the plunger. Another example may have a reduced likelihood of spring damage caused by excess current flow. For example, a plunger may have an eccentrically-tapered back. This eccentrically-tapered back may contact the head portion of the piston. The eccentricity may help to ensure that the plunger tilts at an angle such that the plunger or the piston, or both, contact a barrel of the spring-loaded contact, thereby avoiding current flow and resulting damage to the spring.
