摘要： An apparatus and a method of a macro terminal for controlling interference in a wireless communication system of a hierarchical cell structure are provided. The method includes setting measurement reporting configuration for a blanking trigger per measurement identifier allocated by a macro base station, measuring a receive signal strength of a neighbor base station, comparing the measured receive signal strength value with a reference receive signal strength value of the measurement reporting configuration for the blanking trigger, and according to a comparison result, transmitting to the macro base station, a measurement report message comprising a measurement identifier corresponding to the measurement reporting configuration for the blanking trigger of a pico base station.

A method for transmitting uplink data in a soft handoff system, in which a mobile station is simultaneously connected with at least two base transceiver systems under a control of a base station controller, includes selecting one of the base transceiver systems as a main base transceiver system, transmitting uplink signals to the main base transceiver system and sub-base transceiver systems, and transmitting by the sub-base transceiver systems received uplink signals to the main base transceiver system. Through the method, a main BTS for diversity combining and decoding soft bit strings is established among BTSs connected to a mobile station, so that it is possible to distribute a data processing amount centralized on a BSC to a BTS.

The base stations transmit to a mobile station first information, including information about their frequency bandwidths at the same frequency position over a minimum frequency bandwidth with the same center frequency. The mobile station recognizes the presence of the base stations by comparing the first information from the base stations and detects the frequency bandwidth information in the first information.

The method includes, when a preamble scanning duration arrives, acquiring preamble information on at least one neighbor BS through preamble scanning. It is determined whether to scan a header for at least one neighbor BS among neighbor BSs for which the preamble information are acquired, in consideration of at least one of the acquisition or non-acquisition of new preamble information through the preamble scanning and a variation of an environment of a preamble acquired through the preamble scanning. And, in case that it is determined to scan the header, a header for a corresponding neighbor BS is scanned and header information of the neighbor BS is acquired.

摘要： Disclosed is a cellular-based wireless communication system, and more particularly a method for allocating resources for data transmission in a cellular-based wireless communication system employing a multicarrier scheme. Frequency resources are divided into time slots defined by one frame and the divided time slots are allocated to an uplink and the downlink. During a predetermined time period, the frequency resources are allocated as resources for transmitting sync preambles. During a next predetermined time period, the frequency resources are allocated in such a manner that the frequency resources for sectors are successively and repeatedly used as resources for transmitting broadcasting messages on a sector-by-sector basis. In the remaining time slots, except the time slots for transmitting the preambles and the broadcasting messages, the frequency resources are allocated as resources for transmitting channel estimation midambles for dynamic channel allocation.

A femto BS transitions into a sleep mode if there is no accessed MS for a predefined time. The femto BS transmits a FEMTO-ADV message in the sleep mode to notify of the presence of the femto BS. The femto BS releases the sleep mode upon receiving a MOB-FEMTO-AWAKE-REQ message from an MS receiving the FEMTO-ADV message. Thereafter, the femto BS communicates with the MS.
