    • In an image processing system according to an embodiment, to generate an arbitrary parallax number of multi-parallax images from each piece of continuous time-phase volume data, a first parallax image generation control unit performs control so as to generate a parallax image arranged at a predetermined position in arrangement of a parallax image group corresponding to the multi-parallax images with respect to a pixel on a display unit from every arbitrary time-phase volume data. A second parallax image generation control unit performs control so as to generate a parallax image arranged at a different position from the predetermined position in the arrangement from volume data of a different time phase from the time phase in which the parallax image arranged at the predetermined position is controlled to be generated. A display control unit displays a parallax image group controlled to be generated on the display unit in time-phase order.

    • An index-value detecting unit detects an index value that indicates a contrast medium density in a Region Of Interest (ROI) set on an image reconstructed during a scan. A switch-timing detecting unit detects an inflection point appearing on a curve that indicates temporal variations in the contrast medium density in the ROI, based on an index value detected by the index-value detecting unit. An imaging control unit then performs control so as to skip the rest of a scanning plan in execution and to start the next scanning plan when the switch-timing detecting unit detects an inflection point.

    • An X-ray CT apparatus includes an X-ray detector that is asymmetrically disposed with respect to an irradiation axis of an X-ray and first and second ends that are disposed close to and far from the irradiation axis of the X-ray, respectively. When a scanogram of an object is imaged in one direction only, a part of the object at the first end is missed. Accordingly, scanograms are imaged in first and second directions that are opposite to each other, and then the imaged scanograms are superimposed. The superimposed scanogram is used as an image for setting a scanning range. According to this configuration, although a scanogram is produced by an X-ray CT apparatus having an asymmetrically disposed X-ray detector, it is possible to produce a desired projection data by obtaining scanogram data in the opposite two directions and combining each data. As a result, the accuracy in setting of a scanning position is not deteriorated.
