    • A filter arrangement for a vacuum toilet system includes a filter element arranged in a filter housing connected to a waste water tank of the vacuum toilet system. The filter element includes a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) filter membrane on the inlet side thereof, a filter support material supporting the PTFE membrane, and a support cage, to form a filter cartridge. The filter is preferably a pleated cylindrical filter with the inlet side on the inside of the cylinder. The arrangement preferably further includes a rinsing nozzle that rinses contaminants from the inlet side surface of the filter element, to flow down into the waste water tank. This rinsing, together with the low adhesion and the surface filtration principle of the PTFE filter membrane, prevent clogging of the filter.

    • A system of interconnected heating conductors, suitable for preventing freezing of water lines in an aircraft for example, includes a plurality of heater units (1, 12, 14) electrically coupled together by respective extension cables (3) and electrical coupling elements (42). Each heater unit comprises one or more heating conductor bands, tapes or strips (2, 21, 22) connected to respective connection modules (5, 51, 52, 52', 53) at the ends thereof. The connection modules may connect together several heater bands within one heater unit, and may connect the terminal ends of the heater bands of one heater unit to the extension cables by which several respective heater units may be connected together. Each connection module includes a housing (6) enclosing an inner chamber (61) therein, and at least one electrical connector element (7) such as a crimpable connector fixed within the housing (6). The respective conductors of the heater bands (2) and of the extension cables (3) extend into the housing through lead-in openings (64) and are connected together within the housing (6) by the respective connector elements (7). A complete and reliable seal against moisture penetration is achieved by injecting a sealing compound (19) into a fill hole through the housing wall, so that the inner chamber (61) of the housing (6) is completely filled with the sealing compound (19). The sealing effect eliminates capillary action even when subjected to vibrations, shock, temperature variations, and low pressure conditions. The assembly of the connection modules is simple and economical.

    • A godet in which the areas of the magnetic return jacket reaching to the inside periphery of the godet jacket are formed by separate intermediate rings made from magnetically active material, which are placed on front and back ends of the short-circuiting rings and between the short-circuiting rings. Inside surfaces of the short-circuiting rings and intermediate rings, together, form the inside periphery of godet jacket, and the godet jacket has an outside jacket disposed coaxially outside of the magnetic return jacket. Open annular channels are formed between the magnetic return jacket and the outside jacket as well as between the magnetic return jacket and the short-circuiting rings or intermediate rings. The annular channels are connected to one another on both ends by crosswise channels, and the annular channels and crosswise channels are filled with an electrically highly conductive, magnetically inactive liquid metal. The primary winding of the heater is supplied with power in phase displacement so that a field traveling in the axial direction results.
