摘要： A two-piece clamping element comprises two separate, i.e., non-integral, opposing first and second clamping jaws forming a laterally open cavity to receive a pin or rod-shaped element. Each clamping jaw has a bore aligned with one another to receive a screw, wherein a pivot bearing is arranged opposite said cavity allowing the two opposing clamping jaws to come in contact to one another. The pivot bearing comprises at least one set of complementary part-cylindrical bearing surface portions. An anti-rotation pin extends between the two jaw members.

摘要： An instrument for the positioning of an implant into the human spine, as a replacement for one or more diseased vertebra bodies has vertebra body plates attachable to the healthy vertebra bodies. Distraction rods are provided which at one end are attachable to a vertebra body plate. Two U-shaped parts having limbs which telescopically cooperate and form a tubular housing around the attached distraction rods. The U-shaped parts comprise inner sections which are supported on the distraction rods. A distraction instrument which is connectable to the other ends of the distraction rods is used for exerting a force onto the rods transversely to their longitudinal direction.

摘要： The invention relates to a pelvic or scapular bone plate implant having a planar or curved outer frame portion. The frame has a surface which can be aligned with a surface of a bone to which the bone plate is to be implanted. The plate has a flap portion, the outer frame portion at least partially surrounds the flap portion such that the bone contacting surface the flap portion is located within the outer boundary of the frame portion. The flap portion is connected with the outer frame portion via a material interconnection which allows the flap to be bent with respect to the frame. A method for implanting such a bone plate implant is also taught.
