    • An engine includes an improved sensor arrangement that can decrease the possibility of damage to sensors relating to fuel injection control. The engine includes a cylinder block defining first and second banks of cylinder bores extending separately from each other. Pistons reciprocate within the respective cylinder bores. Cylinder head members are arranged to close respective ends of the first and second banks of the cylinder bores. The cylinder head members define combustion chambers together with the cylinder bores and the pistons. An air induction system is arranged to introduce air to the combustion chambers. The induction system includes first and second intake units with the first intake unit allotted to the first cylinder bank and with the second intake unit allotted to the second cylinder bank. The first and second intake units define first and second intake passages, respectively, through which the air flows. Fuel injectors are arranged to spray fuel for combustion in the combustion chambers. First and second sensors are arranged to sense a condition of the intake air. A control device is configured to control the fuel injectors based upon signals of the first and second sensors. The first sensor is disposed at the first intake unit. The second sensor is disposed at the second intake unit.

    • A test data generating system and method to conduct high-speed operation (actual operation test of an LSI using a tester. The system converts existing simulation data to high-speed operation verifying test data which is formed to obtain a predetermined output expectation value after a clock signal is stopped for a predetermined period. The test data generating system includes a selecting device to select first output expectation values from simulation data and an inserting device to insert output expectation values, which are identical to a predetermined number of the first expectation values, after the first output expectation values. The system also inserts an input pattern, which is identical to a predetermined number of the input patterns, after the input pattern corresponding to the first output expectation value. A replacing device replaces the predetermined output expectation values of the simulation data with third output expectation values, and a setting device sets the first output expectation values to second output expectation values determined from the simulation data based on the predetermined number or the third output expectation values.

In a magnetic recording apparatus including the above-mentioned magnetic head, the slider includes air bearing surface trains arranged in the driving direction of the magnetic recording medium on a contact surface of the slider. Each bearing surface train includes protruding portions and a hollow portion direction. The hollow portion escapes the air between the protruding portion and the recording medium. The head is evacuated from the magnetic recording medium.
