    • A system and method for complex determination of a user's busy state and for assigning a do not disturb (DND) filter. A first electronic device is configured to house a DND recognizer module. The first electronic device is further configured to store and execute a plurality of applications. A second electronic device operably associated with the first electronic device. The second electronic device having another DND recognizer module, a DND filter module, and a DND propagator module. The DND filter module is configured to determine whether a particular DND filter is associated with the current busy state of the user and to adjust the DND status provided a DND filter does exist. The DND propagator configured to propagate the DND status to all at least one device operably associated with the system provided a DND status exists for the current busy state of the user.

    • A device and method for identifying critical card commands and their execution on the chip card. Each card command to be executed is supplied prior to its execution to a comparison device, which can either be a component of the chip card reader or a component independent of this. The comparison device checks with reference to filed comparison samples whether a critical card command is involved. A special comparison process is used for this. If the card command to be executed is a critical card command, it must be additionally confirmed by the user for it to be executed. A particular form of execution consists in comparison samples for identifying critical card commands being deposited during manufacture of the chip card and these being loaded into the working memory of the chip card reader or the comparison device on initialisation of the chip card in the chip card reader.

    • The present invention provides a security module for Web application, especially a portal application, using a rewriter proxy. The security module ensures that the rewritten URIs are appended by an authentication identifier for determining whether the rewritten URI has not been changed. Preferably, the authentication identifier can be generated by applying a secure hash algorithm and/or secret key to the original URIs of the remote resource or the entire rewritten URIs. When a client activates those URIs, a request is sent to the rewriter proxy. Before a connection to the access protected remote resource is established, the security module validates whether the URIs contained in the user client request have been changed by the user.

    • The present invention relates to a method and system for comfortably operating chipcard applications in a chipcard application system. It is proposed to define at least one trusted terminal device (12) in a trusted environment for a Chipcard (10) in use with which the card holder verification (CHV) dialogue is suppressed and the CHV operation is performed in the system hidden from the user. Either, the trusted terminal ID is stored on the chip of the chipcard, or, the Chipcard ID (22) is stored on a trusted terminal together with the PIN (Personal Identification Number) of the card holder. Such an association can help to suppress the CHV dialogue in a trusted environment.

    • The present invention discloses a system and method allowing dynamically integrating remote portlets into each Portal by providing local portlets as remote portlet Web-Services by providing, to each Portal-Server, a publishing functionality allowing electronic creation of a service description for each single local portlet and publishing it into a Central-Registry and a find/binding functionality to find remote portlet Web-Services via the Central-Registry and bind them using the service description for accessing the remote portlet. Preferably, each Portal-Server includes a Portlet-Registry component as well as a Portlet-Proxy. The Portlet-Registry provides service description to the Portlet-Proxy that establishes a SOAP-communication with a remote Portal-Server providing the remote portlet Web-Service to be selected. The main advantage of the present invention is that local portlets become available for all Portal-Server without requiring local installation of the portlet code itself. Furthermore, new remote portlets can be included into a portal by finding them in a registry and binding them.
