    • The state of a label at an optional time point, such as a past time point, can be recognized, while the label can be regenerated even when the label has been deleted. When a label on which can be pasted an object, such as text, picture or sound, is acted upon (yes at step S141) the difference of the label information is computed (step S142) and the computed difference information is stored (steps S144, S145). The label state is then regenerated based on the time information stored in association with the label and the difference information. Also, time is displayed, plural time intervals are displayed (step S201), a desired one of the plural time intervals is selected (step S202) and time display is controlled responsive to the selected time intervals (steps S203 to S206), to facilitate retrieval of the information corresponding to the specified time. In addition, a label handling at least the time concept is processed (step S231) and the time axis in displaying the label is controlled (step S233) based on an operating signal associated with rotational actuation from a jog dial (step S232).

    • An information processing method and apparatus, and a medium, in which pre-set processing can be executed on a label bonded as a tag sheet on a desk top screen of a personal computer. It is desirable that, if a large number of the information is pasted on a label, which information has been pasted can be recognized, whilst the information other than the text, speech or the picture can be pasted e.g., indirectly. To this end, the link information, representing an object, such as text, picture or the sound, and other files, is generated (step S172). A label in which the object information or the link information can be pasted is stored. The label state is regenerated and, based on the link information (yes at step S174), the object and other files are acquired (step S175).

    • In order to prevent the formation of a parasitic PNPN thyristor in an integrated circuit having at least one NPN transistor, a layer of semiconductor material of a conductivity type opposite that of the substrate is formed on the substrate. An isolation region of the same conductivity type as the substrate is formed on this layer and a further layer of the same conductivity type as the isolation region, but of a higher impurity concentration, is formed on the back surface of the substrate. A diffusion layer of the same conductivity type as the substrate, which serves as the base region of the NPN transistor, is formed on the layer having the conductivity type opposite to that of the substrate. A further layer of the same conductivity type and a higher impurity concentration than the isolation region is formed on the back surface of the substrate and an insolation layer is formed on the back surface of the substrate and on the substrate. A further diffusion layer of a conductivity type opposite to that of the substrate, which serves as the emitter region of the transistor is formed using the insolation layer as a mask.
