摘要： The present invention relates to compositions, including cosmetic, pharmaceutical or homecare compositions, comprising at least one linear 2,3-alkanediol having a carbon chain of 5 to 13 atoms. The compositions may further comprise at least one linear 1,2-alkanediol having a carbon chain of 5 to 13 carbon atoms. Additionally, the present invention relates to the use of the compositions of the present invention for enhancing the antioxidative effect of an antioxidant, for improving the sensory properties, i.e. skin sensation, of a liquid lipophilic component, for sebum control, or for malodour management, or for modulating fragrance notes, or for modification of fragrance notes, or for suppression of fragrance notes, or for topical applications, or for coverage of the malodour of 1-octen-3-ol, or for masking insect alluring odours, or for repelling insects.

Additionally, the present invention relates to the use of 1,2-heptanediol and/or 2,3-heptanediol or of a specific alkanediol or a mixture of two or more different specific alkanediols in an effective amount for boosting the efficacy of an antimicrobial active component. Finally, the present invention relates to a method for suppressing or inhibiting of microorganism growth in food, a cosmetic or a pharmaceutical preparation or homecare product.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for producing microcapsules, comprising the following steps: (a) providing a first aqueous preparation containing at least one prepolymer; (b) providing a second non-aqueous preparation containing the active substance to be encapsulated; (c) mixing the aqueous and the non-aqueous phases in the presence of at least one emulsifier and/or stabilizer in order to form an emulsion; (d) polymerizing the at least one prepolymer contained in the emulsion from step (c) in order to obtain a dispersion of microcapsules that enclose the active substance; (e) hardening and cross-linking the microcapsules obtained in step (d); and optionally (f) removing the microcapsules from the dispersion and drying the microcapsules, the method being characterized in that the emulsion is formed in the presence of at least one 1,2-diol in step (c).
