    • A pressure sensor device of an internal combustion engine includes: a pressure sensor detecting a pressure in an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine, a pressure sensor failure determination device determining a failure of the pressure sensor, an idle determination device detecting that an opening of a throttle adjusting an air quantity supplied to the internal combustion engine is in an idle position, and a pressure sensor output value control device limiting an output value from the pressure sensor for use in a fuel injection quantity control of the internal combustion engine to be not more than a predetermined value when the throttle opening is determined by the idle determination device to be in the idle position and when the pressure sensor is not determined as being in failure by the pressure sensor failure determination device. This pressure sensor device prevents the over-rich of fuel injection quantity.

    • A power supply switching apparatus for a facsimile machine includes a power supply switch, a switch controller and a capacitor-based power supply. The power supply switch is configured to selectively couple and decouple a power supply to a facsimile machine. The switch controller is communicatively coupled to the power supply switch and is configured to control the power supply switch in response to the satisfaction of one or more switch criteria. The capacitor-based power supply is communicatively coupled to and provides power to the power supply switch, for example, when the power supply switching apparatus is operating in a standby mode, or any other time the switch controller needs power. Other embodiments include the use of a second power supply to recharge the capacitor-based switch power supply and a switch trigger instead of a switch controller.

    • An in-vehicle power storage device that discharges a battery in a case where collision of a vehicle is detected or predicted, and stops discharging the battery when an over-discharged state has not been reached, and a control method thereof. The in-vehicle power storage device includes: a battery mounted in a vehicle; charge-state detection means for detecting a charge state of the battery; and a discharging load for discharging the battery, and a control device which includes: battery charge-state detection means for detecting a charge state; a battery discharger means for discharging the battery using the load if collision of the vehicle is detected or predicted; and discharge stopping means to stop discharging the battery before the battery becomes over-discharged.
