The swivel piece is coupled to the base. The base allows the swivel piece to rotate in a certain predetermined rotational angle. The swivel piece allows the platform to vary its angle of inclination. The platform is dynamically adjustable but still statically latching. The platform has a convexly curved bottom and a rack on that bottom; the bottom fits into a concavely curved top of the swivel piece. The concavely curved top includes a cantilevered pawl which engages the rack on the bottom of the platform.

By controlling the reducing potential of the oxide phase formed in the reaction vessel, the concentration of the waste material in the oxide phase can be controlled. In addition, the morphology of the oxide phase can be controlled so that once the concentration of the waste material in the oxide phase is adjusted as desired, the waste material can be sequestered within the crystal lattice of the cooled oxide phase for subsequent disposal.

The lens assembly comprises a first lens mounted on a holder which attaches the first lens to a viewing device of an image capturing device. The relationship, as seen through the viewing device between the size of the object and the size of the marking may be used to properly position the camera relative to the target object.

摘要： A special purpose modular connector comprising a generally rectangular housing having a central body portion and two extending side arm portions. A plurality of electrical contacts are disposed within the body and arm portions. Slots at a front end of each portion of the housing expose a terminal end of each electrical contact. Openings in the rear portions of the housing allow connection of cables or other types of component wiring to the contacts. A locking tab is formed at the underside of the housing and functions to align and securely connect the special purpose modular connector with a correspondingly modified receptacle.

摘要： A printer using meltable solid ink pellets loaded into a reservoir in which a holder with an attached solid ink pellet is inserted through a doorway for access to the reservoir and a release mechanism within the reservoir releases the ink pellet from the holder by engagement of the ink and release mechanism. The holder surrounds the pellet on all but one end and includes keyed projections on the holder for matching to keyed slots on said doorway, such that only a matching keyed holder will pass through said doorway. The keyed projections on the holder are used to open the doorway. The release mechanism includes a bore for receiving and restraining the pellet against rotation of the holder, or can include a thin chisel for severing the connection of the pellet to the holder.

The method prepares the sample for analysis by mixing the sample with a preselected quantity of a preselected material that serves to transport and project the sample. The mixture may be pyrolyzed and/or injected into a plasma. A spectrometric detection is made of the sample in the plasma. The apparatus is a modified electrothermal vaporization furnace whose sample outlet is connected to the sample inlet of an inductively-coupled plasma-mass spectrometer (ICP-MS). An additional gas (oxygen) injection line is provided between the sample outlet of the furnace and the sample inlet of the ICP-MS.
