摘要： A proton conducting polymer electrolyte comprising a proton conducting ionomer cross-linked with an amount of a copolymer additive comprising cross-linking functional groups and other functional groups (e.g. proton carriers, chelating agents, radical scavengers) shows improved durability over the ionomer alone and provides for more stable inclusion of these other functional groups. The copolymer additive comprises at least two types of metal oxide monomers, one having cross-linking functional groups and the other having the other functional groups.

摘要： A system providing flexible cyclic prefix length in a preamble (i.e., superframe preamble) is disclosed. The preamble comprises a first section and a second section. The first section contains at least one broadcast channel and occupies the first number of OFDM symbols in the preamble. The second section contains acquisition pilots and occupies the remaining number of OFDM symbols in the preamble. A first cyclic prefix length is used in the first section. It is indicated by the first broadcast channel and is unknown to a mobile station before the mobile station decodes the first broadcast channel. The second cyclic prefix length is used in the second section. It is fixed and known to the mobile stations. The first broadcast channel is located at the last OFDM symbol in the first section and is next to the second section in time.

A method for error handling in a transmission of control feedback information over a communications link by a first station includes determining a first feedback information at the first station, transmitting the first feedback information at a first instance to a second station, and receiving a scheduling message from the second station. The scheduling message includes a second feedback information, and the second feedback information is based on the first feedback information. The method also includes determining if the first feedback information at the first instance was received correctly by the second station based on the scheduling message, and in response to determining that the first feedback information at the first instance was not received correctly by the second station, transmitting the first feedback information at a second instance to the second station.

摘要： In the system acquisition process system information is non-coherently detected using correlation of reconstructed and received preamble signals, such as the primary broadcast control channel (PBCCH) and the acquisition pilots (TDM1, TDM2, and TDM3). The phase correlation signals between the correlated signals of PBCCH and TDM2 or TDM3 and between the correlated signals of TDM2 and TDM3 are combined to decode other sector interference (OSI) information and the like. Acquisition is also made more efficient by taking advantage of predictable information based on system synchronicity. The sync/async bit is included in at least one of the acquisition pilots. The mobile then uses knowledge of system synchronicity to more efficiently detect the additional information in the superframe preamble.

摘要： Techniques are provided to assign radio resources with one of two or more types of assignments on a frame-by-frame basis. The first type of assignment uses subcarriers that are contiguous in both time and frequency, and the second type of assignment uses subcarriers that are disjoint and equally-spaced in frequency. The types of resource assignments can be multiplexed in a frame by dividing the frame into two zones, each zone of a different type. The demarcation between the first and second zones is implicitly indicated by the assignment messages for the mobile stations. Based on the loading conditions, the base station selects one of two demarcation strategies to use and communicates the selection implicitly by using one assignment message for a mobile station.
