    • A cleaner unit for an electrophotographic copying machine including a scraper blade in contact with the surface of a photoreceptive drum and a container for storing toner stripped from the surface of the photoreceptive drum by the scraper blade. The configuration of the cleaner includes an aperture in the container provided in a position above the bottom surface of the cleaner unit, a conveyer member which is provided inside the cleaner unit and is capable of reciprocating between the aperture of the container and an inlet aperture of the cleaner unit adjacent the photoreceptive drum and a guide plate that causes the conveyer member to move its tip into contact with the bottom surface of the cleaner unit when the conveyer member moves in the direction of the aperture of the container, and conversely, it prevents the tip end of the conveyer member from coming into contact with the bottom surface of the cleaner unit when the conveyer member moves in the direction of the inlet aperture adjacent the photoreceptive drum.

    • There is provided a controlling apparatus for an air conditioner, which comprises: an inverter circuit for feeding as an output a pseudo-sine wave from a switching signal obtained by comparison between a modulated wave and a carrier wave; a refrigeration cycle device which has a compressor driven by the pseudo-sine wave from the inverter circuit so that the modulated wave is adjusted according to a load of an air conditioner; and a correction device for correcting an amplitude of the modulated wave into a smaller one at a predetermined time when a rated voltage of the power source from the inverter circuit is larger than a rated voltage by a first predetermined value, and correcting the modulated wave into a larger one at a predetermined time when a rated voltage of the power source from the inverter circuit is smaller than the rated voltage by a second predetermined value. The predetermined time is elongated as the difference between the aforementioned power source voltage and the rated voltage becomes larger, so that shutdown of the compressor is restricted at the voltage variation of the power source.

    • An emitter-follower circuit includes a bipolar transistor of a first conductivity type operating as an emitter-follower transistor and a bipolar transistor of a second conductivity type operable as a clamping transistor. The voltage developed between the base and the emitter of the second conductivity type clamping transistor is adapted to clamp the voltage developed between the base and the collector of the first conductivity type transistor, so that such a high voltage as exceeding the breakdown voltage is not developed between the collector and the emitter of the first conductivity type transistor. The emitter-follower circuit is capable of operating with safety even when an input signal applied thereto has a wide range of direct current components.

    • A roll bending apparatus for use in a multi-stage rolling mill adapted for rolling a hard material or a thin sheet material with a high uniformity of thickness along the breadth, with a high degree of accuracy and low energy. The rolling mill has work rolls of a comparatively small diameter. The amount of bend of the small-diameter work roll is controlled by the roll bending apparatus for attaining the high degree of uniformity of thickness along the breadth of the rolled material.
