    • A machine for distributing blowing wool from a bag of compressed blowing wool is provided. The machine includes a shredding chamber having an outlet end. The shredding chamber includes a plurality of shredders configured to shred and pick apart the blowing wool. A discharge mechanism is mounted at the outlet end of the shredding chamber and is configured for distributing the blowing wool into an airstream. The discharge mechanism includes a housing and a plurality of sealing vane assemblies mounted for rotation. The housing has a wrap angle of approximately 240°. The sealing vane assemblies are configured to seal against the housing as the sealing vane assemblies rotate. The housing includes an eccentric segment extending from the housing. A blower is configured to provide the airstream flowing through the discharge mechanism. The sealing vane assemblies become spaced apart from the housing as the sealing vane assemblies rotate through the eccentric segment.

    • A drug control and dispensing assembly for use alone or with the drawers of a medicine dispensing cabinet or cart. The assembly comprises at least one carton containing medicines and an open top tray to receive the at least one carton. The tray comprises a pair of side walls, a pair of end walls, and a bottom. The carton is generally rectangular having first and second side walls, end walls, a bottom and a flap-like planar top. When received within the tray, the carton extends slightly above the upper edge of the tray walls. The tray has at least one individual lid corresponding to and overlying the top of the at least one carton. The tray lid is pivotally mounted in a pair of upstanding hinge elements located on the upper edges of the tray side walls. At least one of the carton top and the tray lid is provided with attachment devices to releasably attach the carton top to the tray lid such that opening and closing of the tray lid will simultaneously open and close the carton top. The tray lid is preferably made of transparent material so that indicia on the carton top can be read therethrough. In a preferred embodiment, the tray is dimensioned to receive a plurality of such cartons and is provided with an individual hinged lid for each such carton, each lid releasably attachable to the top of its respective carton.

First and second mirror image drawer slides are affixed to the first and second side panels, respectively. The first slide is located near the upper edge of the first side panel and the second slide is located near the lower edge of the second side panel, the vertical distance between the lower surfaces of the first and second slides being equivalent to the vertical distance between the upper surfaces of two adjacent guides. The slides are of a length slightly less than that of the guides. Each drawer has a bottom element affixed to its frame and determining the vertical drawer depth. The staggered arrangement of the drawer slides enables the slides of the drawers of the two back-to-back sets to engage different guides with the slides of each set by-passing the drawers of the other set.

Replaceable blister packages having a plurality of individually sealed spaced pockets are slidably inserted into the reuseable cartridge and aligned with a predetermined number of dispensing openings therewithin. The blister packages are specifically designed to mechanically interact with the cartridge as they are slidably inserted to properly align the spaced pockets with corresponding dispensing openings of the cartridge. One or more cartridges are releasably locked at least partially within the dispensing frame, and a plurality of dispensing frames can be placed in a frame container for convenient exchange and use with medication carts. The resulting dosing system and method combines the advantages of punch card distribution with its excellent visual accountability and seal, with the benefits of a perpetual inventory exchange system.
