    • A gearbox assembly for a gyratory crusher and/or cone crusher, which includes a drive shaft having a rotational movement, and a drive shaft gear attached to a distal end of the drive shaft. The drive shaft gear imparts a rotational movement of the drive shaft to a first gearing assembly, the first gearing assembly imparting a second rotational movement to a second gearing assembly, the second gearing assembly imparting a third rotational movement of the second gearing assembly to drive a ring gear, and wherein the ring gear is attached to and rotates an eccentric assembly of the gyratory crusher and/or cone crusher. The cone crusher is preferably configured to crush rock, stone, ore or minerals. A method of making or retrofitting a crushing device such as, for example, a cone crusher or other gyratory crusher, is also provided.

    • A movable portion of an electronic device is attached to a base portion of the device by a hinge mechanism that enables an edge of the movable portion to translate as the movable portion is rotated during the opening of the portable electronic device. In one example embodiment, the hinge mechanism comprises a groove in the base portion, a guiding feature on the moveable portion that engages the groove, and a link attached to both the base portion and the moveable portion of the electronic device, the link relating relates the motions of the two portions such that the electronic device opens as the guiding feature travels along the groove.

    • A crusher device includes a frame, a rotating mechanism positioned in the frame, and a plurality of curtains connected to the frame. The curtains are spaced from the rotating mechanism to define a passageway along which material moves while being crushed. A first curtain is connected to the frame via at least one first cylinder. The first curtain is connected to a second curtain via at least one pivotal connection and at least one second cylinder. The at least one second cylinder is retracted automatically when the at least one first cylinder is forcibly retracted to adjust spacing between the first curtain and the rotating mechanism due to an uncrushable. The automatic retraction of the at least one second cylinder rotates the second curtain away from the rotating mechanism. Such movement widens the spacing between the rotating mechanism and the curtains minimizing damage from tramp or uncrushables.

    • The apparatus is a gyratory crusher in which all the wear parts can be removed and replaced from the top of the crusher, thus eliminating the need to remove large, heavy parts from below the crusher. This is accomplished by constructing the crusher so that the eccentric and the piston assembly can be lifted up and out sequentially. The piston assembly then includes all the wear parts within the lowest assembly, the hydraulic support, so that those parts can be replaced without access to the underside of the crusher. If necessary, the hydraulic support within which the piston assembly is held can also be removed from above the crusher.
