    • An electric device has an electric power measurement unit with an electric power detection element measuring consumed electric power and an information communication element transmitting the measured power. An electric power meter has an information communication element measuring and transmitting total electric power consumed indoors. An information processing unit stores the measured values in every predetermined sampling period. If a difference α of two measurement values of the electric power detection element is a finite value, the information processing unit calculates and stores both a difference β of two measurement values of the electric power meter corresponding to the two measurement values and β/α, and calibrates the amount of electric power consumed by the electric device and that is measured by the electric power detection element using a median of values of β/α obtained in a predetermined measurement period or a median of a predetermined number of values of β/α.

    • A digital amplifier amplifies an input signal from a tuner (107) which receives a broadcast wave of a set receiving frequency so as to suppress degradation of the high-band reproduction performance and lowering of the amplification efficiency. The digital amplifier includes: a band division unit (102) for dividing an input signal into a plurality of bands; a high-band pulse width modulation unit (103a) and a low-band pulse width modulation unit (103b) which modulate the input signal of the respective bands divided by the band division unit (102), by the pulse width modulation method; a switching frequency control unit (101) which obtains a receiving frequency in the tuner (107) and controls a switching frequency (fsa) in the high-band pulse width modulation unit (103a) and a switching frequency (fsb) in the low-band pulse width modulation unit (103b); and a high-band amplification unit (104a) and a low-band amplification unit (104b) which amplify the input signal which has been subjected to pulse width modulation by the high-band pulse width modulation unit (103a) and the low-band pulse width modulation unit (103b).

    • Input ports (103a, 103b) formed from fundamental mode waveguides are provided at one end of a multimode waveguide (104). Further, an output port (105) formed from a fundamental mode waveguide is provided at the other end of the multimode waveguide (104). The multimode waveguide (104) has a width wider than those of the input ports (103a, 103b) and the output port (105), and provides modes including multimode to the waveguide. The multimode waveguide (104) is embedded with a buried layer (200). Both of the end faces of the multimode waveguide (104) are made to be planes equivalent to a (100) plane or planes inclined from these planes. In a case of inclined planes, the planes are made to be planes inclined to a direction that the waveguide region spreads toward a stacked direction of the semiconductor layers.
