摘要： A video colposcope includes a system microcomputer having algorithms for color balance levels stored into memory. A video camera obtains a subject electronic image of a subject object, and using algorithm-driven digital signal processing circuitry (DSP), color saturation, hue, and intensity levels of the subject electronic image are modified according to DSP reference filter algorithm and reference color balance levels as stored, thus producing a modified electronic image corresponding to the subject electronic image. The modified electronic image is outputted to a display in continuous real time as the corresponding subject image is obtained by the video camera. This modified electronic image emulates that obtained through an optical green filter and incorporates a simulated white balance.

摘要： A gage mechanism for a blood pressure measuring device or other similar apparatus includes a supported shaft member having one end in contact with an inflatable bellows. A pointer is attached at an opposite end of the shaft and a helically wound spring is attached to the shaft and a supporting structure. As the bellows inflates, the shaft is axially displaced and causes rotation due to the constraint of the helical ribbon spring, causing a corresponding angular deflection of the attached pointer relative to an indicating scale. The mechanism includes a first adjustment member for allowing the pointer to be preset to a zero or calibrated position, and a second adjustment mechanism that controls the amount of angular rotation of the shaft and pointer for a displacement of the bellows.

摘要： A manually rotated knob drive mechanism incorporates a torque override feature. If the knob turning force exceeds a predetermined torque limit the feature permits slippage between the knob and the associated stem or drive shaft. The knob can continue to rotate, under slippage, until the knob and stem are aligned at a predetermined mutual orientation, or home position. This occurs at only one home position. The torque override feature is formed of an insert molded into the knob, and having a bore in which there is an annular shoulder. A hub member fits into the insert and has an annular surface that faces the insert shoulder. The hub member attaches to the stem or shaft and a spring yieldably urges the hub member against the insert. There are protuberances on the insert shoulder and corresponding grooves or recesses on the hub member annular surface, which coincide with one another only at the home position. The knob drive can be employed on the steering control handle of a borescope, endoscope or guide tube.

摘要： The insertion tube body of a borescope or endoscope is constructed to avoid leakage current. An inner coil is covered with a tubular urethane jacket over which a tubular braid is disposed. Terminators having sleeve portions are attached by inserting the sleeve portions between the coil and the jacket. The terminators are secured using epoxy and the braid is bound using a winding or wrap of thread. The braid does not contact the terminator or the coil, and floats electrically. A layer of a flexible tough material such as polyurethane is applied over the braid and onto the terminators.

The braid and bladder assembly expands axially but not radially, when pressure is applied, and changes the relative position of the imager and lens between a far focus and a near focus position.

A connector joins the bending neck to a flexible elongated insertion tube formed of an elastic tubing on which a filament braid is disposed. The braid is nearly circumferential, i.e., with a high braid angle, so that internal pressure in the insertion tube will not expand it laterally, but the braid will permit axial movement. This accommodates pumping action of the bending neck on optical fibers and wires that pass from the distal tip back through the bending neck, connector, and insertion tube.

The bladder is attached to the first recess to form a fluid-tight seal, and the end of the braid continues over this and over the second land, and is attached to the second valley or recess. The attachments can be made using coils or wraps of fishline or equivalent.
