Each magnetic module includes: a ferromagnetic housing; having a non ferromagnetic segment forming an aperture; a wound magnetic wire coil on a perforated spindle having a coil diameter greater than a coil depth surrounding the aperture and located between the non-ferromagnetic segment and the ferromagnetic housing. The wound magnetic wire coil generates a constant amplitude electromagnetic field within the aperture when coupled to a direct electrical current. Each aperture is sized to receive at least one limb of an animal.

摘要： A way of testing a wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) system without requiring connection to data source/sink equipment. A test signal is introduced onto a light path of interest in the system, and the test signal is monitored downstream for signal integrity. Lack of signal integrity is used to identify a fault in the lightpath. Alternatively, optical loopbacks may be used to localize and identify a fault in the lightpath. The lightpath includes a source optical node connected to a sink optical node via intermediate optical nodes. An optical signal introduced at the source node with a destination at the sink node may be looped back at any one of the intermediate nodes or the sink node to localize and identify a fault in the lightpath.

ATM cells of the ATM network are intercepted to monitor a UMTS terrestrial radio access network (UTRAN). The intercepted ATM cells are automatically analyzed to obtain a correspondence between a static Node B channel and a different private channel of the ATM network that is used to carry traffic to/from the Node B. The correspondence and other correspondences may be stored in a lookup table. A Node B's VPI.VCI, a VPI.VCI of a connected number may be extracted from a connection message. A call reference may be extracted from the connection message and stored in association with the correspondence. A connection breakdown message may be detected and, based on the release message matching the previously stored call reference, the stored correspondence that is associated with the call reference may be deleted.
