摘要： An image display device includes an image forming device, collimating optical system, and optical device, with the optical device including a light guide plate, first diffraction grating member and second diffraction grating member which are made up of a volume hologram diffraction grating, and with central light emitted from the pixel of the center of the image forming device and passed through the center of the collimating optical system being input to the light guide plate from the near side of the second diffraction grating member with a certain angle. Thus, the image display device capable of preventing occurrence of color irregularities, despite the simple configuration, can be provided.

摘要： A disc table employed in disc recording/reproducing apparatus employing, as a recording medium, a recording disc, such as an optical disc or a magneto-optical disc, on which information signals are pre-recorded or are to be recorded, is disclosed. The disc table includes a fitting member fitted from its distal end into a circular center aperture of the recording disc, a table section which is integrated to the fitting member at a proximal side of the fitting member and on which a rim portion around the center aperture of the disc is set, a thrusting and supporting unit for thrusting and supporting the recording disc with respect to the table section, and centering unit provided at a proximal side of the fitting member and adapted for thrusting the rim portion around the center aperture of the recording disc with the center rotation of the fitting member. The fitting member is gradually tapered towards its distal end where the fitting member is provided with a guide slidingly contacted with the inner rim of the center aperture of the recording disc for guiding the recording disc towards the center of rotation of the fitting member. The recording disc may be positively centered to enable stable rotation of the recording disc while realizing a simplified thin type construction.

摘要： An optical disc includes a disc base plate of a light-transmitting synthetic material having a recess for mounting a magnetic plate, and a holding part, integral with the disc base plate, for loosely holding the magnetic plate mounted in the recess with respect to the disc base plate. It is possible with the present optical disc to prevent distortion of the disc base plate otherwise caused by the difference in thermal expansion coefficients of the two components to inhibit double refraction of the disc base plate otherwise caused by such distortion to maintain good recording/reproducing characteristics.

The fitting member is gradually tapered towards its distal end where the fitting member is provided with a guide slidingly contacted with the inner rim of the center aperture of the recording disc for guiding the recording disc towards the center of rotation of the fitting member. The recording disc may be positively centered to enable stable rotation of the recording disc while realizing a simplified thin type construction.

摘要： A disc type detection arm contacts a disc type opening formed in a disc cartridge when the disc cartridge is loaded into a recording and/or reproducing apparatus. The disc type detection arm determines the type of disc which has been loaded by the depth of the disc type opening, and controls the positioning of the magnetic head in response thereto. The magnetic head is spaced-apart from the disc when a read-only type disc is loaded, and positioned close to the disc when a read/write disc is loaded.
