Two left and right shape-memory alloy (SMA) wires are coupled to a swing shaft of one of the vertical louvers. When electrically heated, the SMA wires contract, and the swing shaft is rotated, accordingly. The SMA wires are alternately supplied with electricity, so that the vertical louvers are swung leftward and rightward.

摘要： A console is attached to brackets fixed to a floor panel of a vehicle. Each bracket has a pair of fitting holes. The console includes a console body having a rectangular bottom wall. An insertion hole is formed in each of the four corners of the bottom wall. Each insertion hole corresponds to one of the fitting holes. Clips are provided at portions of the bottom wall, each portion corresponding to one of the insertion holes. Each clip has two fitting portions that are arranged to face each other. When each clip is inserted into the corresponding fitting hole, the fitting portions are fitted to an inner wall of the fitting hole so that the console body is attached to the brackets. With the clips inserted into the fitting holes, a fastening member having two legs is inserted into each insertion hole so that the legs are located between the corresponding fitting portions to prevent the clip from being removed from the fitting hole.

摘要： In a one-chip microcomputer, an electrically programmable read only memory (EPROM) is formed together with a read only memory (ROM) and random access memory (RAM) on one semiconductor substrate. Data such as fixed data necessary in the microcomputer can be changed by the use of the EPROM. In case data are to be written in the EPROM, an EPROM writer is used. This EPROM writer outputs write data to the EPROM and checks (or verifies) the data written in the EPROM immediately thereafter. If any error is detected, the subsequent data write is interrupted. In order to inhibit the unnecessary operation interruption in case the address designated by the EPROM writer comes out of the range of the EPROM, the checking (or verifying) data signal to be fed from the one-chip microcomputer to the EPROM writer is forcibly set at a level which indicates satisfactory operation of the EPROM.

摘要： An airbag apparatus for protecting knees is provided. A breakable portion is provided in a wall of a glove compartment door for opening and closing an opening of a glove compartment. The wall faces a vehicle passenger compartment. An airbag case for housing an airbag, which is inflated by inflation fluid, is installed inside the wall. A front part of the airbag case is caused to function as a pressure receiving portion for receiving a pressure of the inflation fluid through the inflating airbag, thereby generating a reaction force advancing toward the rear side of the vehicle, so that the breakable portion is broken by the airbag inflating toward the rear side of the vehicle. The airbag is caused to protrude from the glove compartment door to the rear side of the vehicle through the breakable portion. A reinforcement member for reinforcing the glove compartment door is provided inside the wall and is fixed to a part other than the breakable portion of the glove compartment door, and the airbag case is attached to the reinforcement member.
