    • A radiation conversion device is driven by an on-board battery, detects radiation that has passed through a subject, and converts the radiation into image information. A charging cradle to which the radiation conversion device is connected carries out a charging process on the battery. The radiation conversion device includes a signal transmitting unit for transmitting image information by wireless communications to an external apparatus, a transmission suspension unit for monitoring a transmission state of the image information by the signal transmitting unit and suspending transmission of the image information when a transmission error is generated, and a suspension release unit for releasing suspension of transmission of the image information when the radiation conversion device is connected to the charging cradle. The signal transmitting unit transmits the image information to the external apparatus when suspension of transmission of the image information has been released.

    • A radiation detecting cassette and a radiation image capturing system are provided. A radiation detecting cassette has a radiation detector for detecting a radiation having passed through a patient and converting the detected radiation into radiation image data, a transceiver for transmitting the radiation image data by way of wireless communications, a cassette controller for controlling the radiation detector and the transceiver, a power supply for energizing the radiation detector and the transceiver, and a remaining power supply power level detector for detecting a remaining power level RC [%] of the power supply. The cassette controller includes a data transmission and reception controller. The cassette controller stops transmitting the radiation image data by way of wireless communications and prioritizes the capturing of a radiation image when the detected remaining power level of the power supply is smaller than a predetermined threshold.

    • A memory element mounting method includes: a disposing step of disposing a memory element at a sheet of paper that is composed of plural layers including a first layer serving as a base and a second layer serving as a surface with a thermoplasticity; and a surface treatment step of melting at least the surface of the sheet of paper with the memory element disposed thereat and processing the molten surface of the sheet of paper into a predetermined surface shape. Since the memory element is mounted on the sheet of paper during the surface treatment of the sheet of paper rather than during production of the sheet of paper, the memory element can be mounted on the sheet of paper as required.
