摘要： The display device including pixels has formed therein at least two drive blocks each made up of pixel rows. Each of the pixels includes: a drive transistor; a capacitor element, a luminescence element; a first switching transistor which causes conduction between the gate of the drive transistor and a fixed potential line; and a second switching transistor which causes conduction between the source of the drive transistor and the capacitor element. Each of the pixels further includes a third switching transistor which connects a pixel in a k-th drive block and a first signal line or a fourth switching transistor which connects a pixel in a (k+1)-th drive block and a second signal line.

Each of the pixels includes a current control unit and an organic EL element. The sweep potential is swept in a range between a value lower than the luminance potential and a value higher than the luminance potential.
