    • An apparatus for processing a sequence of control commands for a unit (40) to be controlled is proposed. In this case, the apparatus has first decoding means (22) which are designed to decode a predetermined set of control commands. In this case, this predetermined set of control commands also contains an end command (CMD.sub.-- END), which indicates the end of a control command sequence. In order also to be able to process control command sequences having control commands which are not contained in the predetermined set, the apparatus has further decoding means (23) which are designed in such a way that when an unknown control command (SET.sub.-- BAREA) arrives, they react in the same way as when the end command (CMD.sub.-- END) from the predetermined set of control commands arrives. Undefined states are thereby prevented. The proposal also encompasses a method for generating a sequence of control commands for a unit to be controlled, and a storage medium for storing control commands for a unit to be controlled.

    • A Flash based memory comprising a Flash translation layer which comprises first translation information associating a first logical address of a logical file system emulating a sectored storage medium, the logical address being a logical sector start address with a first physical address of said flash based memory. The logical file system comprises a number of logical stuffing bits expanding a logical size of data of a file stored in said Flash based memory such that the expanded logical size corresponds to an integer number of logical sectors and the Flash translation layer comprises second translation information associating a second logical address with a second physical address and depending on said number of logical stuffing bits, the file being stored in a contiguous physical address sequence starting at the first physical address and ending at the second physical address.

    • The invention relates to a method for visualizing a change caused by scrolling in a scrolling direction of a section of a text and/or graphic displayed on an optical display means. A visible marking is thereby displayed at a first position within the displayed section. A visible marking is displayed at a second position within a section displayed during the scrolling prior to or as soon as the first position is no longer within the section displayed during the scrolling in response to the scrolling. In particular with small screens, which are increasingly used for displaying information, which can be visually captured, for example in personal digital assistants, which are referred to as PDAs, or in mobile cellular telephones, the method makes it possible to increase the capability of capturing the displayed information and to thus increase the field of application of these devices.
