    • A rotary cutting tool for reaming operations, including a generally cylindrically shaped tool shank with a longitudinal axis having a plurality of radially protruding and generally axially extending clamping wings, and a cylindrically shaped cutting head having a central bore and a plurality of axially extending cutting edges with an outer cutting diameter. The central bore has a plurality of circumferentially and alternately spaced bore sectors and bore recesses, where each bore sector has an outwardly inclined female clamping surface in clamping contact with an outwardly inclined male clamping surface of each clamping wing. A cylindrical shaped locking sleeve and a cylindrical shaped clamping nut assembled to the tool shank provide a means to adjust the clamping contact forces and the cutting diameter of the cutting head, and also enable removal and replacement of the cutting head without removal of the locking sleeve and clamping nut.

    • In a tool coupling in the form of a cutting tool used for internal machining operations, a second component having a single cutting portion is clamped to a first component by means of a clamping screw. The second component has a mounted surface with three male engaging members interfacing with three female engagement members on a mounting surface of the first component. Each of the three female engagement members has two sets of side surfaces located on a shared portion, the shared portion exhibiting mirror symmetry about a first plane, and each set of side surfaces having two opposing flank surfaces separated by the first plane. Only one of the two flank surfaces of each of the two sets of side surfaces is in clamping contact with a corresponding abutment surface on each of the three male engaging members.

    • A cutting tool has a shank with a circumferential groove and an adjustment ring releasably secured to the shank at the groove. The adjustment ring has a threaded through bore in which a screw is screw mounted and engages the groove. The adjustment ring has an adjustment member which engages the groove and which is positioned diametrically opposite the threaded through bore. When the screw is tightened it exert a purely radially directed force on the groove thereby inducing displacement of the adjustment member radially inwardly and the adjustment member exerts non-radially directed forces on the groove, thereby inducing a bending moment on the shank for correction of radial runout.

The key includes an elongated protrusion having first and second engagement portions with a pivot axis formed in the first engagement portion.
