摘要： Multiple entries in a table are selected or deselected by designating a particular data field of a first entry. The selection state of other entries, the content of whose corresponding data field matches that of the first entry, is toggled. The data field may be designated by selecting a data field designation glyph in a web interface, by mouse-selecting a data field with a unique keyboard and/or mouse input, or by directing the table focus to a data field and entering a unique keyboard and/or mouse input. The desired entries need not be contiguous, and need not be visibly displayed in the table.

摘要： An audible indicator such as an audio tone is associated with the importance of data elements displayed on a visual display screen of data processing apparatus such as a personal computer or work station. At least one characteristic of the audible indicator, for example its pitch or frequence of a tone, is associated with the importance of the data elements. When a user selects a particular date element on the screen, for example using a computer mouse, the audible indicator conveys the importance of the selected data element to the user. This enables visually impaired users to readily locate important data elements on a display screen without reading the entire screen using a screen reader.

摘要： Displaying data from a data set in a tree map visualization is provided by prioritizing the data in the data set so as to associate a priority with respective elements of the data in the data set. A tree map visualization is generated based on the data set where a location of bounding boxes in the tree map is based on the priority associated with the corresponding element. Tree maps having locations of bounding boxes that are based on a priority associated with the bounding boxes are also provided.
