摘要： A shoe with an integrated electronic touchscreen display is provided. The shoe includes a flexible electronic display material having an embedded touch screen, which is operably connected to a rechargeable battery. In one embodiment, the rechargeable battery is secured within a heel of the shoe. In another embodiment, the rechargeable battery is disposed on a detachable outsole having the ability to generate power via static electricity generated by walking to recharge the rechargeable battery. The embedded touch screen may alter the colors or other qualities of the flexible electronic display. In this way, the wearer can customize the outward appearance of their shoes. Some embodiments include a ventilation system for cooling.

The first closure member coupled to the first panel at about an entrance of the utility bag. The first closure member includes a pair of parallel bulbous elements which form a longitudinal channel parallel to the entrance of the utility bag. A second closure member includes a third bulbous element having an interfacing surface complementary with an interfacing surface of the longitudinal channel to form an overlapping closure arrangement. Counterpart strips of hook/loop fasteners coupled to complementary interfacing surfaces associated with the first and second closure members are used to maintain the utility bag in a closed state. The bulbous elements may be formed from deformable materials disposed in sleeves which surround the entrance to the utility bag.

摘要： A sink according to the present invention includes a sink basin having a bottom surface and a top surface with at least one side wall extending therebetween. The sink includes a divider that may be inserted into or removed from an interior area of the sink for selectively dividing the basin into multiple smaller compartments. An electromagnet is positioned beneath the bottom surface of the sink and is attracted to a ferrous material on the bottom of the divider for holding the divider securely when actuated. Channels defined by the sink side wall and other sealing components establish a watertight seal between compartments when the electromagnet is actuated. The electromagnet may be connected to the residential power source and may be activated by a user or, automatically, by a sensor. When the divider is removed, the larger single basin may be used for washing larger items.

One embodiment provides a rotatable knob moveable also in lateral plane approximately perpendicular to the axis of rotation. A mechanism providing the lateral motion can include agate member and a plunger member that engages grooves in the gate member. A rotational sensor detects a rotational position and a lateral sensor can detect a lateral position of the knob. Another embodiment provides an actuator that includes a shaft that is coaxial with the axis of rotation and which can be moved linearly along the axis of rotation with respect to actuator housing to accommodate linear motion of the knob. In another embodiment, a gear assembly including two interlocked gears is provided to transmit rotational motion from the knob to the sensor, and the interlocked gears translate with respect to each other when the knob is translate along the rotational axis.

摘要： Method and apparatus for compensating for position slip in interface devices that may occur between a manipulandum and a sensor of the device due to a mechanical transmission. A device position delta is determined from a sensed position of a manipulandum of an interface device. It is determined if position slip has occurred caused by a change in position of the manipulandum that was not sensed by a sensor of the interface device, typically caused by a mechanical transmission between sensor and manipulandum. If position slip has occurred, an error in the sensed position caused by the position slip is corrected by adjusting the sensed position to take into account the position slip. The adjusted position delta is used as the position of the manipulandum and the display of objects controlled by the interface device are accordingly compensated.
