    • This invention relates to a fluid applicator. More particularly, this invention relates to an ink applicator which contains a specially adapted finger support for supporting a user's fingers during fluid application. Preferably, the fluid applicator comprises an applicating end portion having an opening for filling and dispensing fluid from the fluid applicator; a central portion connected to the applicating end portion; a sealed end portion fused to the central portion; and a finger support extending from the applicating end portion transversely throughout the central portion for supporting a user's fingers during fluid application.

    • An improved system and method for controlling the temperature of fluids during a mixing procedure or a chemical, pharmaceutical, or biological process is disclosed. One embodiment of the system comprises: a first collapsible bag including a perimeter and a maximum dimension thereacross measured at full expansion of the first collapsible bag; a first interior surface portion; a second interior surface portion; one or more welds connecting the first and second interior surface portions of the first collapsible bag so as to form a channel between the first and second interior surface portions, an inlet connected to a first portion of the channel; an outlet connected to a second portion of the channel, the channel defining a bulk fluid flow pathway through the first collapsible bag from the inlet to the outlet; and a first temperature-controlling surface in contact with a first exterior surface portion of the first collapsible bag. A heat exchanger in fluid communication with another vessel that can hold or store the heated or cooled fluid is also disclosed.

    • A microcontroller system has a first and a second block of non-volatile programmable memory and includes a program memory space allocation circuitry. In a first mode of operation, the first and second blocks of programmable memory are prevented from being written by commands external to the microcontroller system. In a second mode, however, the first and second blocks of programmable memory are prevented from being written by commands external to the microcontroller system but the second block of programmable memory can be written based upon execution of commands stored in the first block of programmable memory. By having circuitry to so allocate the programmable memories, the security of the programmable memories is enhanced.
