摘要： A hybrid transmission for a hybrid vehicle is comprised of a two-degree-of-freedom differential mechanism and a brake. The differential mechanism includes at least five rotating members wherein four of the rotating members are connected to an input from a main power source, an output to a driveline, first and second mover/generators, respectively. The brake is connected to one of the rotating members and is capable of being put in an engaged state to brake the one of the rotating members. The hybrid transmission is set so that an absolute value of a revolution speed of the rotating member connected to the output is greater than an absolute value of a revolution speed of the rotating member connected to the input when the brake is put in the engaged state.

摘要： A pair of friction wheels gripped between an input disk and output disk facing each other on a rotation shaft of a friction wheel continuously variable transmission, are supported by a pair of supporting members each comprising a supporting shaft. An end of the supporting shaft of one supporting member and an end of the supporting shaft of another supporting member are joined by a link. The center of the link is supported free to pivot by a pin. The link supports the supporting member against an outward force exerted by the input disk and output disk on the friction wheels in a direction away from the rotation shaft. The link and supporting shaft are joined by inserting a joint into an engaging hole of the link. The shapes of the outer circumferential surface of the joint and inner circumferential surface of the engaging hole are set so that the force exerted by the joint on the link due to the action of the outward force does not generate a moment assisting inclination when the link inclines.

摘要： Plural trunnions of a toroidal continuously variable transmission are joined by a link so as to synchronize the axial displacement of the trunnions. A needle bearing and a spherical joint are interposed between the trunnions and link to permit rotation of the trunnions and inclination within a small range thereof. When the needle bearing is inclined with respect to the trunnion, an axial force acts on the trunnion as it rotates. A member is therefore provided which prevents the relative inclination of an inner contact member and an outer contact member of the needle bearing in order to prevent such an axial force from acting on the trunnion.

摘要： A toroidal type CVT has upper and lower links. The upper link has a link supporting member joined to its casing and the lower link has a link supporting member joined to a cylinder body. An adjusting hole and a knock pin are used to permit displacement of either the upper or the lower link within a predetermined limit in the longitudinal direction of the link. This adjustment equalizes the thrust forces acting on the power rollers, which are gripped between an input and output disks, and maintains the torque transmission efficiency at an optimum level.

The first arm member has a in-wheel drive unit attachment portion pivotally attached to an outer circumferential portion of an in-wheel drive unit at a position radially spaced apart from a rotational center of the in-wheel drive unit, and a vehicle body attachment portion pivotally attached to the vehicle body so that the in-wheel drive unit is movable in a vehicle vertical direction with respect to a vehicle body. The vertical member has a first part of the vertical member attached to the outer circumferential portion of the in-wheel drive unit and a second part of the vertical member attached to the vehicle body to guide the in-wheel drive unit in the vehicle vertical direction.

摘要： A mode switch control system for a hybrid transmission for a powertrain, the powertrain including an engine, a first motor/generator, and a second motor/generator, which controls a mode switch from a high speed mode to a low speed mode. The high speed mode is established by engaging a high-mode clutch. The low speed mode is established by engaging a low-mode brake. In the mode switch, the mode switch control system reduces the torque capacity of the high-mode clutch to zero linearly in time by an open-loop control system, and varies the torque of the second motor/generator to a target torque by a feedback control system so as to adjust the gear ratio to a target gear ratio, while the mode switch control system holds substantially constant the input torque from the engine, and the torque of the first motor/generator, to hold substantially constant the output torque.
